My intended use for the charcoal powder was to make my own shoe deodorizers. My problem shoes are water shoes that retain a fishy odor even after a run through the washing machine. I read an article about a man on a multiday hike who made his own deodorizers using activated charcoal in small envelopes and he swore it worked on his hiking shoes. I have some old matchboxes which I thought would be perfect to slide into shoes. This is potentially a very messy operation, and I did spill some while spooning it from the bag to the matchboxes; fortunately I decided to do this outside so I could just blow away the mess. The bag is not resealable, so you may consider using another container to hold any remaining powder. The instruction card comes with multiple uses including facial masks, brushing your teeth with the powder, and foot soaks, so I feel reassured that if some is spilled inside the shoes it’s no great tragedy. Similarly, a small amount of burnt bamboo should not cause any environmental concern in the water. I left the slightly open matchboxes in my shoes overnight and I do believe that the charcoal helped. I think I will have to use the shoes again to give the deodorizer a real test, but it seems as though this project was a success and I have plenty leftover to make sachets or for other uses.

I enjoy the taste of Kimchi, but I do not enjoy the aroma it leaves in my fridge. When I saw that this Bamboo Charcoal Powder could help eliminate odors, I was excited at the thought of finally not having to face the breeze of Kimchi every time I open my fridge. For two weeks I allowed the powder to work its magic while also simultaneously seeing if it could help my other fridge that had the bizarre aroma of a hot dog being left in soda overnight. After the first week, the aroma was gone from the hot dog soda fridge, but not quite yet from the Kimchi fridge. I decided to give it another week, and felt the results were the same. I then got the craving for Kimchi, and now I'm back at square one with the breeze greeting me each time I open the door. I think for standard odors, the Bamboo Charcoal Powder would work wonders, not to mention the versatility of options it has in comparison to typical odor eliminators. However, Kimchi odors are on a whole other level that I have yet to see outmatched.

The quality of this activated charcoal seems to be consistent with our brands that I have used. I mainly like to use it for making homemade toothpastes and for skin detoxing, but there are many other ways to use it. I am not sure if this particular product is of high enough quality to use for medicinal purposes. But for external usage, it works great. My only minor complaint is the plastic bag feels like a risky way to ship such a messy product, and transferring it to a more permanent container (since the bag is not resealable) can be tricky. However, I did not have any issues with the bag and managed to move it without too much mess, so I am not docking a star for it.

I use this essentially for tooth whitening , I put some in a spoon and rub my toothbrush on it then brush my teeth.I do this about 3 tomes a week and I see great improvement on my teeth.It easy to use, it is a very fine powder, it do not leave any residue between my teeth. It tastes great.I like it .

The quality of this product seems good. It came well packaged but some leakage, very minor at the seal. The charcoal was contained for shipping in this fine mesh within the plastic packaging. It is not a resealable bag so I had to transfer it. Easy enough but the charcoal does stick to the mesh packaging. The powder has fine particulates so pour slowly when transfering to another container as it can have dust fumes. The little I had was evident when I blew my nose and it was black.I got this to try to elimate orders from my instantpot... it may take a while... It's been 4 days and no improvement yet. The odor is a heavy onion smell from cooking curries and chicken soup. I've tried replacing parts of the instant pot lid but the odor refuses to leave. Even with this product, it resists!I haven't tried the other uses of this in facial cleansers and such. I have tried activated charcoal tablets previously for indigestion and sometimes it helps. I'm not sure this product is good for ingestion so I didn't try. It would be good to know if it is but that said, since it's not a tablet or capsule, it would be harder to ingest.I think I'm neutral on this one as I mainly used it fo deodorizing cookware and it didn't work. I'm sure there are other better uses for it as others have reviewed.

Can't speak to the more healthcare or skincare uses. I got this because I have automatic scooping Litter Robot which keeps the clumps in a bottom drawer that you empty once full. For my cat, that means the pee and poo stay in the bottom for about a week. He always has freshly cleaned litter on top, but the bottom drawer can begin to smell.I opened this package and dusted the bottom of the lined drawer every time I emptied the drawer. No more odor in the room with the litter box.I would not put this directly in the litter, otherwise, your cat may walk around leaving little black charcoal marks everywhere!
