No they are not heavy, but they are really good, the only non stick saucepan I have ever use. Tried not to use it in high heat, definitely not for deep fried. Let it cool down before wash. I hope it helps.

Is this set oven safe. I mean can i use it on any cooking source and also in the oven?

Not for oven use. Fine for gas or electric hob. Not sure about induction - sorry.

Why has my brand new frying pan gone brown the first time i cooked a steak in it on induction hob Very poor quality for over£50 pans

All I would say is that I was very disappointed with pan set and sent pictures and got full refund
