Being advertised as mulcher I would expect it to cut through paper and flexible weeds. However I cannot find info beyond wood shredding..

I used it extensively for lots of fine branches like goosberry thorned branches and larger such as thick tree branches. Outside a few times a little bit of cloghing at the outlet it shredded everything without any problem even after full days of heavy usage. Really good machine that takes a little bit of getting used to but is very powerfull and never slowed down for anything I put through

Would this machine be able to shred carpet?

I am surprised that this question has been asked, but as a wood chipper and shredder, for which this machine has been designed, it is excellent, but as a carpet shredder no way. As due to the nature of the carpet composition, the machine would soon become clogged and bound up. So in summary the machine is unsuitable for shredding carpet.

Does this shred small branches like willow whips?

The T-Mech will shred up to 10mm diameter twigs, via the top mounted hopper. This is a relatively slow process. I have found it best to feed thinner branches into the side mounted branch funnel. Via this port the T-Mech quickly does its job, but the twigs need to be long enough to enable them to be fed through. I am pleased with the overall performance of this machine.
