Q: How waterproof is the inside and outside?

Mine came with a sealable small bag to go inside that seems pretty waterproof. The main bag itself is VERY water resistant, but probably not completely waterproof.

Q: Can you use the detachable bag at airport security?

Q: Would the mesh pouch meet the TSA 3-1-1 rules?

I've used it and didn't have any issues. That being said, it's ultimately up to the TSA agent on duty to day if it passes or not.

Q: How much does it weigh?

It's not particularly heavy when empty but it's a very large toiletry kit and gets heavy when loaded.
