Really robust stove.

My hubby loves this and he is a fishing accessory snob ha ha, he can't praise this stove enough and has recommended it to friends

This thing is time served and proven,With LPG gas stoves!, the gas gets cold a becomes useless!, in a serious situation!, you could do without stuffing gas down your pants!.But with petrol, you just pump it and it kicks out some BTU of heat 👍.It doses cost more than an average jet boil and it bigger!.In my opinion!, when it comes to carrying gas and stuffing it down one’s trousers!, it’s a no brainer 🫡

First up, this is not the exact model I have as I bought mine over 40 yrs ago.But it is still going fine, and can still beat an electric kettle from cold to boiling!

Gram for gram of fuel,this stove outperforms almost any gas canister single burner. It works well with Coleman fuel as well as unleaded fuel when you're out and about. It can quickly and easily be lit with a match or lighter though it does require pumping both before and after it is lit as you would expect from this type óf stove. It is also normal to get a large flam the moment it's lit but that should soon settle down to a stable and controllable blue flame similar to gas stoves as the generator pipe heats up. On the whole, this is the best rugged unibody stove for its size that you can get and it lasts many years. Just make sure you buy it with its rectangular container box to keep it dry and hopefully prevent rust. That bóx is free when bought new from authorized Coleman retaílers.

I have one of the original stoves by Colman. It is a delight to use, it has a knob.The new one is bent rod and difficult turn off or on. Not happy!

Fill with unleaded. Turn pump knob to the left to undo. Pump about 30 times. Retighten pump knob. Undo the red lever and it hisses. Light the top and there is a big flame. So don't do it in the tent porch.In about 3-5 minutes it settles into a good blue flame. At its strongest it will run for about 2 hours. On simmer probably 4-6.The minimum fill us about 5 squirts from a trangia fuel bottle. As a test I put in 15 short bursts of unleaded. It brought 2 x 1 litre stanley pots of water to the boil. At about 5-8 minutes each time.A tank would give 10-20 heat ups. So a few days of use, making meals and drinks.Solid build and reliable. Worth considering for the advantages of fuel and temperature.
