Q: can this work with 120v ?

Your question is confusing, the unit goes in between the ground on your shore power… which is 120volt / 30 amp or 50amp ….hmmm

Q: Why use the vdi-32 instead of the vdi-16? what is the purpose of using higher current isolator if this is to block low power dc voltage?

These are rated for the AC circuit that they will be attached to. The 16A is intended for 230A circuits that carry less current, though could conceivably be used in the US if you had only a 15A shore power.

Q: Is this a an abyc compliant?

Although the unit functions properly, it is not ABYC compliant as designed, given that standard A-28.8.1.7 requires it to be marked "Fail-Safe per ABYC A-28" (among other marking requirements) and it is not marked as such.

Q: Will this work with 120v?

Yes. This is designed to go between shore power and the AC side of electrical panel. Lots of info on line. Good luck.
