Nearly perfect, but a game changer if you don't have this
For a long time sit-ups were recognised as the exercise for abs. Then science came out and showed that actually it has very little direct use of all core strength, and in fact there are many better exercises to develop the abs.In terms of developing the core strength, that isn't just the front arms, that is the whole system of muscles working in tandem around the core and the best way to make this strongest directly address it but also incorporate it in heavy compound liftingTo directly hypertrophy the rectus abdominis, there is a lot of evidence showing weighted crunches are quite useful. However trying to get up into position is difficult, and most people will use a tricep rope overhead, if they don't have a dedicated machine which very few people do.This is the first time I'm seeing such a handle, which has the carabiner connector behind the neck, so there is no rope going through your body to your hands, snagging and catching. In that sense, this design is 100% .Unfortunately like the other reviewers said, it actually works better upside down, with the rough side to your body. So there are two sides. It is basically a large v shape, with the rough side pointed down, and a softer side pointing up, and the softer side has two loops on each end of the v, which are designed for you to hold. However trying to hold this over the thick material is quite tricky, and turning it upside down is better in terms of gripping, however the rough material can then catch your neck a little bit. Turning it the right way around, the padding is better against your body, however it does feel a little awkward unless you cross your arms over in which case you'll get a bit of an imbalance trying to get into position, and it won't feel as natural. I almost want the handles to have a handle of their own, or some adjustment to make them longer which would make them perfect. It is so so close to being perfect, I hope they read this and release a second iteration

Good harness
This is a well made harness, the quality is good and the cable and connection are strong. It's an ideal addition to you workout routine, as it is padded and it didn't feel uncomfortable when using it. If you're in the market for getting your abs toned then this is a good piece of kit to compliment your gym.

Only works upside down
The item arrived in good time. On opening it was much stiffer than I expected, strong and I think well made but very stiff. On attaching it to the weight machine I realised how short the side panels were. Doing an abs pull meant I either had to hold the grips very awkwardly or with just my thumbs. Or cross handed but then my arms were pressing on my throat! I'm 5'2" so thought maybe it was designed for someone bigger. I got my husband to try (he is 6'1") but again it was only any good with just thumbs through the loop.We the tried it with the strapping downwards against the shoulders, so rough side down, this made it possible to hold the grips properly but with bare shoulders and neck wasn't the comfortable design I hoped it to be.It works but only just.
