Solid knife! Worth the money!
I love this knife. I mostly like the sturdiness, the color, and the amount of features. I've only had it for an evening and a morning but I've already made a baton, a pencil snare, and reduced several small trees to kindling. I like how you can comfortably grip the handle farther up for fine work or farther back for chopping. The quarter-round and draw knife work perfectly for making kindling and such. My last knife snapped, but this one sure won't! And it is HEAVY, In a good way though. It does way 1 LB! I like how it just feels so sturdy! It makes you want to chop everything in sight! The wire cutting function in the saw also works well. The baton saddle works well for striking. Now, about the sheath. The section above the button really helps hold in the knife. I like the tan of the knife handle with the leather sheath. It holds knife really well. Cons: I'm a little worried about the stitching on the belt loop and button strap, but I don't think it will come undone. And be VERY careful about the quarter round cutting the button strap.Knife cons: The tip is a tiny bit worrying, it thins down pretty quickly. And that's the only con I can think of!Over all I would definitely suggest this knife. Plus, you're supporting a small business! Thanks Weyland!!

Superb addition to your field survival/military patrolling kit. Extremely happy with this item.
I didn't even know what a tracker knife was when I ordered this. This is an awesome tool. There is a wide range of tracker knife options with varying prices but I think that this was at the perfect price point. It is built to last a lifetime. It is capable of doing mostly all of your outdoors/bushcraft skills. From cutting wood to skinning your catch/prey. If you are trying to accumulate gear, this is at a price point that will enable you you get other things. Really, you can probably pry open a safe with this knife... very durable. Also American/USA made from what I understand.Someone I know is soon to graduate a very difficult Army course and I have already purchased a second one to give as a graduation gift. I was also in the military and spent most of my time in jobs where something like this would absolutely come in handy. This would be an awesome piece of kit in the field.I guess if I was going to try to think of one thing I think it would be cool if they would start selling a kydex type sheath. The sheath it comes with now is perfectly adequate. I still have to shop around to see if there is one that fits this specifically. But If they were to have one or two additional sheath options that would be very cool. Different color leather, different color kydex.Maybe custom symbols or emblem options... like a military unit emblem (If there was a "de oppresso liber" Cross arrowed unit symbol stamped on there, I don't think this company would be able to produce these fast enough.. I would probably buy ten more for graduates). The aesthetic, functionality and price of this knife all worth synergystically to make this an awesome product. A perfect gift for those who enjoy the outdoors, in a unit in the military that goes to the field, or as a gift to accompany someones "right of passage."Good luck! And thanks to the guys who makes this, I think you nailed it.

A beast
Well, I wasn't going to write any more reviews but this calls for an exception. Since 1981 my go-to bushcrafting knife has been a kukri of one sort or another, most recently a Condor King. And it still is, but I'll be the first to admit that it can be kind of clunky for some applications and excursions away from camp - gathering, fishing, checking traps, etc. For decades I've used literally scores of various knives as kind of a more convenient "little brother" to the big kukri. Randalls, Chris Reeves, KA-BARS, Buck Specials, and Lord knows how many others. With this, I may have found the perfect one. This knife will probably outlive me.Just picking it up from the box, you can tell this knife means business. Don't let the fact that it is produced in China turn you off, this is no cheap toy or "The Hunted" movie replica designed only to "look cool". It is a real working blade made to a quality standard; solid, thick, and nearly shaving sharp right out of the box. I would prefer a flat rather than hollow grind on a blade of this type, but I honestly can't see it being an issue. It is exactly as shown and blade-heavy, which I prefer. At this price, I can't imagine any outdoorsman (or lady) being disappointed in what they receive. It has a wide belly perfect for skinning or slicing, and the flat edge will split with ease. The "saw" (it isn't really for sawing, per se) is great for notching trap releases and feathering tinder. The stone wash of the blade provides a very custom, professional look, and the handle scales appear nearly indestructible. On a side note, my sheath did have an issue. I emailed Weyland and literally within the hour Mr. MacRae had a replacement boxed up for me with a tracking number. And this late in the afternoon before Labor Day weekend. It's hard to find customer care like this anymore, if I could give them 10 stars I would. If you don't want to lay out the cash for a Russon or a Tom Brown, pull the trigger on this knife, you can order with confidence from this company and won't regret it. Highly recommend.

Great knife but needs a better sheath.
This knife offers exceptional value for its price. The handle provides a comfortable grip, and the weight is well-distributed and balanced. Straight out of the box, the blade is adequately sharp, and the overall appearance of the knife is impressive. The only downside is the sheath. The leather quality could be better, but more importantly, I should have noticed in the photos before purchasing that, when worn in a right-draw horizontal carry, the retention strap with the snap is positioned on the inside against the back. This makes it difficult to unsnap, use, and resecure the knife. Compared to similar knife sheaths, it seems designed for left-handed use.Over all, it's a great knife.
