Excellent dehumid cabinet
We live in Costa Rica, where the humidity during the rainy season can cause mold to grow everywhere. So we put our important documents in this cabinet and haven't had to worry about them at all.

You should probably buy one size up from what you think you need
If you go to the companies website you’ll see that this item is listed for much less money but that doesn’t include the shipping which will bring the price up considerably. It will also take a lot longer to arrive. The unit itself seems to perform fairly well and it’s well-made and well-built. It’s a little bit small though if you have more than one camera body you’re probably gonna want to go up at least a size. You can fit two camera bodies and some lenses in here but it’s a little snug. If you have a mirrorless which are smaller you might be able to get away with this size for two bodies and no more than five lenses. A lot of the accessories don’t need to be stored in something like this. But I think my basic rule of thumb is to buy one size larger than you think you need.I really like the unit and how quiet it is. It has no problem keeping the humidity down 20% in my very humid air and verified the accuracy with a separate hygrometer. It has internal lighting but it’s sort of on one side so I put a battery operated LED strip on the other side kind of make it look cooler when I open the door. I guess I’m gonna have to end up buying another one of these since I didn’t buy the bigger model which would’ve held all my equipment. But once you get used to keeping it in here, you really don’t wanna put it anywhere else. As much for the dust proof Ness as the humidity. But remember mold will destroy the internals of a lens and that cannot be repaired. I don’t know how many adventures I’ve seen completely destroyed by mold overgrowth. I believe the damage to dust can be fixed, but rarely can mold. It’s certainly better than an inverted fish tank which I have used for much of my photography career. And like I said I am extremely happy with the unit. It seems exactly identical to the Ruggards which are the units that are sold at photography places.

Brilliant for storing my camera gear. Easy to use and perfectly sized for my equipment needs.
Always wanted a central storage location for all my camera equipment at home, but ended up leaving it all over the house and worst, on the desk, which gathers a lot of dust. Another issue I recently had, was moisture got inside one of my lenses! Awful to say the least. When I came across this little dehumidifier, I knew it was something I needed. The good:Love the small 30L capacity size. I have 2 Mirrorless camera bodies, 5 small to mid sized lenses, and a bunch of other accessories like batteries, chargers, and some 35mm film rolls. This little thing stores all of it perfectly! I also like the molded foam on the top shelf which is great for my lenses, and a thinner flat foam on the lower floor for my larger flat sided items, such as cameras, batteries, films, etc..The unit is super simple to understand and setup. It’s basic, but at this price point, it fits my needs well! It also runs pretty quiet too for my 9ft x 9ft room. I can barely hear it humming in the corner of my office.I love the handy light on the side, which you can manually switch on or off. I would have loved another light strip in the back of the unit but for the price, it’s definitely not a deal breaker. More of a nice to have. The not so good:Actually, believe it or not, I don’t have any complaints. All works great so far. Of course, reliability would be a big question, but only time will tell. This unit does not have temperature control function, but that’s not really a negative issue for this unit at this price point. Just something of note for those whom are wondering.Should you get one:For this price point, I highly recommend it if you don’t have a super massive collection of photographic gear. For a 30L size, this thing holds everything I own. Works well. Easy to setup and get going. I set the unit at 40% humidity and it only took about 5-7 mins to get there, but of course this hugely depends on the humidity of your room where you will use this. If you have a couple of camera bodies and a handful of lenses, and accessories, I’d say go ahead and get one, so you can start storing your gear safely away from dust and moisture!

Major problem with the 80L wood grain version
Unfortunately, the first one I ordered came defected. The top of the cabinet was not level, and the rest of the cabinet followed suit, to the point where if you closed the door, you could see a giant gap where the door should have closed. This means that you wouldn't get any reliable seal from which to keep out humidity.Amazon quickly sent me a replacement, and that unit had the EXACT SAME PROBLEM. So I'm sure this is a great product, and the price is compelling, but stay away from this for a while as I think they may have had some production issues.

It's a dry subject - no active temperature control
This unit is adjustable by humidity only - Temperature has no active control. The unit is awesome especially when considering its size. This is the smallest version currently offered and fits a reasonable amount inside. The shelf is adjustable as well as the foam liners. With no modifications at all the unit fit 4 Kg spools of 3D printer filament leaving a lot of gapped odd space available inside for smaller electronics. Ultimately the bottom will house 2 spools of filament and the top will house our important electronics. The unit is brand new meaning I have only owned it just over one full day. I plugged it in and set the RH% to 35. It has presumably run its cycles since then because hour by hour the RH% has dropped getting closer to its target setting. There is no heat present near the unit and when the door is opened only cool air flow is felt. The unit seems to be energy efficient and not expected to impact electric usage by any noticeable amount.AUTENS 30L Dehumidifying Dry Cabinet Box - The bigger the better. The dry box looks great aesthetically. The unit is actually very lightweight and is designed very well using minimal materials with a quality build. The unit is suited well for any atmosphere boasting its own professional look especially when filled with gear. It is impossible to not be impressed!
