Nice build quality and works fine
Not much to say about this other than don't be put off by the lower price compared to others. There doesn't seem to be any compromise in build quality or functionality. Some more expensive ones have a neon and some have a single socket and 110v / 240v switch but otherwise, provided they have an isolating transformer, they're all pretty much the same and might even all come off the same production line!

Great price
Great price compared to other bathroom sockets, looks smart as it has pop on covers that go over the screws.

Works well for shavers and charging toothbrush
I wired mine into the lighting circuit and it works well. It charges my toothbrush for hours at a time and runs my shaver. It gets very slightly warm while charging, but not hot. It's makes a very slight humming noise when something is plugged in, but it's not a problem.I bought an MK socket from ScrewFix for £26 and wired it into the lighting circuit. It made such a loud humming noise when something was plugged in that I could hear it in another room. So I took it back and bought this instead.

Good product but check your backbox screwpost clearance
I have to edit my review here after a few weeks, and finding out some more information. It seems this shaver socket (like most, but not all) is probably *NOT* suitable for charging a toothbrush. It seems that it is *NOT* designed for constant use, i.e. having even a low-powered rechargeable toothbrush plugged in all the time. Given that this use is possibly more likely these days than powering a shaver, it *SHOULD* be suitable. The socket gets quite hot after a few hours with the toothbrush charger plugged in. From reading around on the web, this is a common problem which eventually causes the plastic to discolour and the plate to crack from the heat.Only a few people in my extended family regularly use an electric shaver, all but one do use a rechargeable toothbrush plugged into their shaver socket 24/7. After all, the toothbrush chargers are clearly intended to plug into that sort of socket. This is something that really should be made clear.Original review:Good points - works, and doesn't buzz like the old one (well, it does, but you have to really listen for it, like anything with a transformer)Just check the distance between the screw fixings inside your current backbox (as well as the depth, which wasn't a problem). This product was a lot higher and lower inside, where the transformer and sockets are, than my old one. The screwposts inside my backbox stopped this unit from fitting in. Perhaps they extend further into the box than in other backboxes.I ended up spending 30 minutes with a mini-drill and grind wheel, grinding the plastic posts away until this fit. The alternative was to buy a new backbox (easy, cheap) but the old one was grouted into the tiling so that would have made a quick job a lot more annoying.

Seemed OK at first but poor construction led to failure in longer term use
I purchased in Jan 2017. No problem for first year. Then plug not making contact any more. Have some electrical knowledge I opened up to find plastic contact retainers were not strong enough and had broken, allowing copper connectors to splay out and no longer make contact with plug. As it had an an American voltage outlet as well (unused by me) I rewired it so that the 230V went to the hitherto unused side, and was at least able to plug in there. But another 18 months and exactly same thing happened on that side - plastic broke, connection failed. In my view the retaining plastic is not strong enough/fit for purpose & I shall be writing to the UK suppliers about this.
