I tried many different slings and harnesses for my larger German shepherd who had knee surgery and now is dealing with some hip dysplasia. This seems to support his hips just enough. He can still walk with some help and fits well overall much easier than the belly slings.

Worked perfectly when my 15 yr old Aussie hurt his ACL.

I just opened this and it claimed to be brand new but there is long white dog fur on it. Clearly someone used it and sent it back. This is how it came out of the package.

It is a nice design but my dog did not like it at all. Gave it my brother and his dog didn't like it either. They are both large dogs.

I bought medium for 33lb beagle after a spine injury and diagnosis of hip dysplasia this item has allowed him to walk with assistance and start to build his strength back as he recovers. Downside it's very tricky to get it on and i have had it about 1wk but the stitching holding velcro in place is starting to come undone. Not a major issue as i can fix it with sewing machine but it is inconvenient and i had noticed this comment in other reviews hopefully sellers take this feedback to use stronger stitches when sewing this area. I do wish it was more adjustable around the legs but also not a big deal maybe they can re design and add velcro to tighten each leg/ thigh for easier securing

Too awkward for dog to walk

Hip displasia and collapsed hind legs all of a sudden on a lab mix. He is too heavy to carry. But this not only helped to take him potty but helped him to recover after the vet said it was hopeless! Don’t give up on your old pups. The vets are not always right. He is walking again, on his own!

This have has helped a lot in walking my beautiful 16 year old lab. The poor ole boy has developed some serious hip and joint issues and his hind legs struggle most days, and on the bad days he can barely walk. This harness is not the easiest to get on, but I think it's a necessary hurdle on any harness that is going to provide the right kind of support. It needs to be aligned properly and watch that the handle straps don't get caught on his legs when you're pulling it up. Once you get used to the alignment, it gets easier. I think there is a way to design it better that could bypass the wrestling with the straps, however I'm happy with this harness and would recommend it. Make sure to get the right size. My boy has dramatically lost weight and it does slip off if I'm not holding the straps
