Good quality for a great price.
We used this in our motor home to move the TV from between the front seats to the side across from the couch. Due to the location we placed it we can not lock it in the up position but that is not a problem. It serves us well and was easy to install.

Mount-It! MI-4211 Latch Just Does Work Reliably
Update: 1/31/2021: This (Mount-It! MI-4211) has been installed on my boat for quite a while now and it works perfectly. Really nice for my application and my wife likes it too. I spoke with the manufacturer about why it did not work when testing it just holding it in my hand. They said that they have had other such instances of testing failures when not fully mounted and would try to document the issue and solution for future customers. Manufacturer responses were rapid, honest, and helpful. I have asked them to help me with one-off solutions in the past and they have. It restored my faith in Mount-It products which I have a few. Works good.Update: I installed this despite the problems with the latching mechanism because I needed it to work. Don't know why, but after install it is working much better. maybe because it is bolted in. Works most of the time to an acceptable level of reliability. I am changing my rating from 1 to 3 stars and am not returning it..I have a number of mounts from Mount-It and they are excellent. This one (Mount-It! MI-4211) gets an "F" for engineering design. The latch is a gravity type mechanism with a very low catch ledge that means that it will not lock reliably and will not stay up once locked. It will only lock up if you try it a bunch of times. Unlocking, strangely seems to work reliably. Because I like its dimensions for my boat overhead, I am going to see if I can MAKE this work and will call the manufacturer but I don't think I can use this thus far. Plus, my wife won't like it if its not easy. Sturdy: yes Adjustable: yes Will Easily Stay in Locked Up Position: nope

high quality but needed a few modifications
Product is of high quality and works well. It is technically for a ceiling mount, so using it under our kitchen counter required some modifications involving a hack saw to shorten the arm. I also had to invent some spacers between the baseplate and kitchen cabinet to get everything to fit correctly, BUT I was able to mount a 15.6" TV under the kitchen counter, so it was totally worth the effort. Installation would have been much simpler if I would have used a smaller TV, but I was trying to max out the TV size and had to do a little engineering on the fly. My family loves having a TV in the kitchen that can be flipped up (mostly) out of the way when not in use. I say 'mostly' out of the way because even when folded the TV extends down the thickness of the TV plus the thickness of the folded mount, so it is still hanging down ~3 inches below the cabinet. It is no problem at all unless you were hoping to completely hide the TV under the front lip of your cabinet. The only real complaints or problems that were not self-inflicted:-the screws provided to mount the TV to the support plate were too long, so I had to buy shorter ones-to mount the base plate to kitchen cabinets, you need to go to a hardware store and get new bolts/nuts - the ones provided will not work in an undercabinet arrangment-the mechanism that is supposed to lock the TV in the UP position doesn't always catch. However, you can adjust the friction of the pivot arm such that the locking feature isn't really necessary for a small TV. No big deal unless your TV is bigger and heavier. The good stuff:-really sturdy and looks good-price was totally fair for the quality of the item-VERY adjustable - this thing can hold a lot of different TV sizes at different heights-the 'tilting' and 'pivoting' work really well, and the friction is adjustable such that once you put the TV in a position you like, it stays thereDefinitely would buy again.

Works great!
This bracket is extremely sturdy and includes a catch which holds the folded TV in place. I installed a 20" TV under a kitchen cabinet using this bracket. The bracket was easy to install and the VESA bracket (for attachment of the TV) removes from the mounting bracket for easy installation. Then the VESA bracket and attached TV are attached to the main bracket by way of a hook and 2 screws (very easy). The VESA part of this bracket is able to be adjusted up or down so the TV is in the ideal place for watching TV then folding up and out of the way. When the TV is folded under the cabinet, it latches and holds. To release and lower it, press upward on the TV and the catch releases --- although it has occasionally refused to release. In that instance, a flip of the catch easily releases the TV. All in all, this is a sturdy and reliable way to have your TV accessible and yet easy to stow away under a cabinet for more open space.Note: the hanging bracket to which the TV attaches is 11+ inches long so one would have to be sure there was adequate room under cabinet to lower the TV and swing it back under the cabinet (H and D). My cabinet is 15" deep and 18" above the countertop and the depth of the TV is 11.3" so there was no problem. It seems it would work under a 12" D cabinet with careful measurement and placement.
