These were perfect for cutting the threads when I do Hardanger. They have a very pointy end and are sharp right to the tip.

I wanted a new pair of cutting shears for dressmaking, tailoring and general soft furnishing sewing. These failed at the first hurdle. The cutting blade is sharp along most of the length but so blunt at the tip that fabric wraps around rather than cutting cleanly. This was on a single layer of interlining,it should not have been an issue.I have had a pair of Prym scissors used for trimming seams during construction for roughly ten years. They are excellent and on account of these I expected the same quality. The cutting shears have been returned. Recent manufacturing standards at Prym do not produce the anticipated quality.

Fairly good pair of scissors, extremely light weight, they have a very sharp point but they wouldn't cut the high performance nylon silk, but then again nothing I had would cut that nylon without numbing and mashing it!After using these scissors for a while now, they are excellent! Better than I first thought, so I've changed it to 5 stars. It leaves a nice sharp clean cut, it just seems to be the high performance nylon beading thread that any of my scissors don't like cutting!!
