Rock solid and reliable
Press a key and the character is registered. No batteries, flashing keys, or dongles. I used wireless lighted keyboards previously and there were always issues. This keyboard has no issues and no drama.

Keyboard had defective key, otherwise good keyboard that is a marginal improvement over previous gen
The number two key on the keyboard was defective. Fortunately this was discovered in the first two weeks of owning the keyboard so I was able to get a replacement shipped. I owned a majestouch two for years before this, and this newer generation is more pleasant to type on from a feel perspective due to the different material and seems like it will stand up to a bit more wear and tear on the keys than the previous one, also due to the new material. This is interestingly my first factory issue with a Filco keyboard. I've been a longtime user of their products and their keyboards are otherwise tanks. I am an extremely abusive keyboard user: I've spilled liquids on them, dropped them, etc. The last one got replaced finally because a full cup of coffee got spilled on it, which was not enough for even the mighty Filco to outlast.

quiet and capable.
This Filco mechanical keyboard is great. It's much quieter than my Corsair, or older Das Keyboard. The keycaps are clearly labelled (unlike the Corsair), and everything just works.I type a *lot*, and with the recent addition of hearing aids, I was very uncomfortably aware of how loud my prior keyboards were ... that led to a fair amount of research which resulted in my buying the Filco. The feel is very good. It uses (new?) "Silent Cherry Red" keys. It's a basic wired (USB) keyboard.Pros:-not too expensive.- quiet.- sturdy.- No lights to distract, no fancy configuration options, no glitz. Basic.Cons:- No USB passthrough for a mouse.(To be fair, the "passthrough" for the Corsair is misleading, as it takes two USB ports on the computer :)- The volume control is done by pressing/holding the "Fn" key and also one of F1 (louder), F2 (quieter), or F3 (mute/unmute) ... much more difficult than a dedicated volume control knob like my prior keyboard have.

Decent mechanical keyboard
This keyboard has worked without problems for me so far, and the key feel isn't as comfortable as buckling spring for me, but I've gotten used to it.
