Wild and Wolf Retro 746 Telephone | French Blue

Phone rings fine and you can hear the person at the other end. So thats what a phone should do. I bought the blue colour and have been complimented on it a couple of times. Everyone likes this phone and I reply that I don't want a phone that switches the TV on and you have to follow a set of instructions on how to use it. Phone’s fine. Oh, this may be helpful: the line-in cord is also the same colour blue not white which was a cool design feature.

I liked the colour primarily, and wanted a phone that couldn't get lost down a sofa. What is an added bonus is the extra loud ringer option ( slide button on base) which is a great bonus at this time of year, as I can hear it from the garden. Also these phones don't rely on electricity, so if you do have a power cut you can call to report the problem. This is a sensible precaution for anyone who lives rurally, where these problems occur more. To all in all, it's very pretty and practical, plus in like the old fashioned ring and look of it.

I love my phone. I love how it looks. I love the ringing tone. The only draw back is my family say that it sounds like I’m speaking into an amplifiers or bad mic from the other end of the line. From my end it sounds fine.

Love this phone! It took me back to my childhood when using it. So we purchased this to look good and also fed up with digital cordless phones that had poor battery life and fuzzy background noise! So this is now perfect, just a simple phone connection - the sound quality is really clear, easy to dial with push buttons and works perfectly with our virgin media phone line. The phone arrived within a couple of days of ordering, well packaged and I am really happy with it.

EDIT : disappointed to say I shall be returning my phone after only one month.The sound quality has deteriorated by the day, to such an extent that making or receiving calls is now impossible.Really sad, because it fitted so well with my decor.Will put the extra money towards a reconditioned genuine phone, I think.*************For sheer nostalgia (and an easy to use telephone!) I couldn't have asked for better!After reading reviews on other makes, I was concerned this modern repro would be flimsy, lightweight plastic... But not so!With its lovely mellow ring, it sounds, looks and feels just like I remember our old phone doing in the 70's - only with push button convenience, rather than a cumbersome dial!Really pleased with my purchase!Ps. Love the colour, too.

Love this phone - the colour is a nice grey blue and it feels solidly made. Sound is good and the bell is a refreshing welcome to the sometimes poor choice of ringtones on dect phones. Push button dial ....I know it wouldn't work in terms of tone dialling but I'd love it to have a rotating dial!!! It's a brilliant phone, just me being nostalgic!!!!

We wanted a corded landline phone alongside our cordless digitals, as this type works even in power-cuts. We loved the retro style, so reminiscent of the 1970's, the choice of colours was good and we picked one that matches our décor.All it needs is to be plugged into a telephone socket and it works! Being fairly heavy it doesn't fall over or get knocked off like the lightweight modern ones. We have two additional digital phones in our home and they all work perfectly well from two BT sockets.

This phone looks the part but the sound quality is very poor. Only suitable for short calls really.
