Go For Fischer If You Want A Reliable Fixing
Fischer is a German brand, and like most of the products hailing from that region, these plugs are pretty good. In fact, I'd have to say that they make the best plugs and fixings I've used.You might think that a simple bit of plastic tube can't make that much difference, and a Chinese cheapie would do just as well, but that just isn't so. The combination of tough but flexible material, rib and slit geometry and even expansion when a screw is introduced means that whatever surface you drill these into, chances are you'll achieve a solid and reliable attachment. They don't rotate when you turn the screw and they don't pull out under load. Fischer are the company I turn to when I want fixings I can rely on. Recommended.

Drill (Bosch) 8mm the hole to small, drill 9 mm the hole to big
Drill (Bosch) 8mm (as advised by the manufacturer) the hole to small the plug won't fit, drill 9 mm the hole to big, resorted in using cable ties to fill the 9mm drill hole so the plug will fit snug.
