Q: how much does this raise the red dot. is it a 1inch riser, or .5 inch riser?

I just took out the digital caliper to check. This mount raises the base of the sight .80 inches off the top of a Picatinny rail. I'm using it with a Vortex Venom on a shorty AR upper with Troy BUIS, and the co-witness of them through the Venom sitting on this mount is about ideal, not absolute but a bit higher than lower 1/3. You can still see the entire adjustable front sight post. I'm very pleased with this mount so far. I haven't really tested its return to zero capability, but it locks down quite securely, so I'm thinking it'll do well in that regard.

Q: Will the rdmq adapt to the venom?

Yes, I'm running that exact setup on my kriss vector.

Q: Will this riser allow for a proper fit when mounting the vortex venom and vortex 3x magnifier together on an AR15 platform?

I have personally not set it up like that, but it should work perfectly fine as long as the magnifier is a standard one. I have a Sig Sauer Romeo5 Red Dot Sight and this riser (combined with the Venom) is about the same height. As far as being able to mount both the red dot and the riser, that shouldn't be an issue since both use the rail, and there should be more than enough space. If anything, you can probably adjust the height of the laser (MOA) slightly.
