This is an ORIGINAL LENOVO mini display port cable to HDMI at 4K. Please do not purchase cheap knock off other brand made cables that purports to do the same job, it dosnt it had mico chips an micro electronics in the display port wire.Some people whom have used cheaper knock off brands have damaged thier lenovo machine because of incorrect amps and voltage.Please buy the original , you'll get proper 4k output and it's a nice little wire I know its £15 an you could get a different one for £7 , why risk it.Fantastic cable super high quality, dont buy knock off duplicates that dont have the mico chip inside the cable for voltage an amp protection and properly outputting the correct image to your monitor or TV.I think it's cheap enough anyway !!

Essential for X250 owners to get higher res on 4K monitors.
Completely essential if you plan to run at higher resolution than 1080 (e.g. 1920x1080) on Lenovo X250. Once installed, it allowed me to exploit my 4K Viewsonic monitor right up to its maximum resolution. It’s like having a new workstation and productivity has increased significantly! The unit gets warm as there are active components inside the connector. Apart from that, it’s plug & play.

Your TV might not work with it
Came in time but I actually recieved two from two different suppliers. Why?Ran it out from a Lenovo T430 W10 to a JVC FSTV. No picture. Tried it on an older Bush FSTV and it worked fine.Dave.

Does what it says on the tin really and feels very durable. I have been using this with a surface pro dock to connect a monitor and it works perfectly. Only thing I'd point out is that if your using a ultrawide monitor, you cant use an adaptor. You need a direct cable.

Works perfectly
Needed the adapter for my lenovo t450 thinkpad so I can connect it to my monitor as it had no older vga or dvi connections only display port and HDMI.I could have opted for a more cheaper version but had read the laptop had compatability issues so got the original adapter.Works perfectly without issue just plug and play.

Doesn't work with Lenovo ThinkPad X220
Does not work with Lenovo ThinkPad X220 Tablet. Not sure what Lenovos it does work with. Otherwise the product seems like it would work great.A better description on compatible laptops would be good!
