Brabantia60 Litre Large Kitchen Touch Bin (Matt Steel Fingerprint Proof) Removable Lid, Soft-Touch Open, Easy Clean Rubbish Food Waste Bin

After spending a good amount of time reading the reviews of this bin and some competitors (mainly by simplehuman) I decided to take the plunge and buy it. This cost over four times the amount of my previous kitchen bin, but the glowing reviews and the good experience I've had with other Brabantia products convinced me.Having now used the bin, I wanted to add my voice to say that it is worth every penny. It looks great, no smudgy fingerprints and a nice, easy open lid. However, the real benefit is how well it works. Yes, I know it's just a bin, but the extra wide opening makes a huge difference when scraping plates etc. The additional capacity means I'm not emptying it every couple of days, and when I do, no desperately trying to squeeze the bag out without it splitting (you know, the dance where you hold the bin between your knees, and slide your fingers down the side of the bag to try and coax it out!). The liner just lifts out.I was a bit worried it would look huge, but it doesn't - definitely a bit larger than our previous bin, but not massively so.I paid full whack for this, which seems an inordinate amount of money for a kitchen bin, but I am sure it was worth every penny and am confident it will last many years.

I guess you get what you pay for. This is so sturdy and large enough that we only need empty it once a week. We previously had an Addis one and had to have it replaced three times as the hinges on the lid kept breaking. Glad we chose to swap to brabantia, despite the hefty price tag.

Best bin I have ever owned it is sturdy, easy to clean and good value for money. It takes ages to fill up with rubbish and holds a lot and because of the size of the bin bags it takes up less amount of room in my wheelie bin. You also get a few bags with the bin which is a nice extra, I keep buying the bin bags too as they are strong and fit compact. I'd highly recommend this bin.

I have had Brabantia bins before and have always been impressed with the quality of these bins.I use standard black bin bags with them, as I not fussed about these being visible outside of the bin and also I refuse to pay the ridiculous prices for Brabantia bin bags.The lid appears to have been redesigned and no longer has the domed top to it, now has a sleeker slightly inverted lid.Having had these bins before I know that the clip on the lid is a weak spot and will need to be replaced at some point in the future.The bin has a good capacity and only needs emptying once, maybe twice a week.But overall impressed with the purchase.

The door opening action is delightful, a short and gentle touch leads to a satisfying click, the quick but not aggressive withdrawal of the hand frees the lid to raise gracefully, but importantly not slowly. This mechanism reveals a opening with a wide aperture, easily capable of accepting even the largest microwave meal trays without touching the sides.Whilst the bin works well with the normal supermarket black sacks, having purchased a bin of such quality, you'll no longer be wanting to use those. The custom Brabantia bin bags, complete with their chuckle inducing "Das Binliner" joke and high quality ties, fit the bin perfectly and clearly demonstrate to any on looking neighbour, passerby or sedentary vagrant that you are a person of keen intellect and class.

I was a bit sceptical about buying this because of the price but it's been a great buy . You know what they say about you get what you pay for well this was well worth it

The bin is huge and it has a large opening so you don’t often contact the bin sides when putting rubbish in it. I got the no fingerprints one and it’s exactly that, looks good all the time, just a wipe now and then. If you are going to have a bin on show in your lovely kitchen, get a good one that doesn’t rip the bag to ribbons when you try to remove it. It’s big, it’s good, it’s worth spending a bit more to get a good one.

This is by far the best bin ever. Huge capacity, quality build and 10 YEARS WARRANTY!This is a bin built to last. Yes you pay a huge premium up front but this will last for life. The touch lid is the best solution as I have had countless pedal bins that all stopped working after a while. This is the first time I own a 60L bin and I would recommend everyone to do so, even if you think the b in is too big for your household. Smaller bins fill in quicker and often have smaller lids.
