Good Performer
If you have some older kit with no HDMI output, this does the job of providing you with a decent picture and sound on a modern TV. Not High Def. but perfectly acceptable quality. Easy to install and works well. No HDMI cable supplied.

It worked out of the box!
This product maybe more expensive that its rivals; however, it solved a problem. Most modern TVs do not have RCA phono inputs any more and are peppered with HDMI inputs. This product does just that. You need to buy a mains to 5 volt 3 pin plug power supply, but they just cost £2 which makes this quite an economic solution.

It just works.
Got this adapter after the first one I bought (the GANA one) stopped working on me after 30 mins. Was very surprised by how sturdy this one feels in comparison with a more metallic body over the plastic of the GANA.Use it to play my Wii on my newer monitor and it just works. The picture does get some oddly distributed black bars on 16:9 displays but its to be expected. The only complaint would be the lack of a power switch meaning I need to unplug its USB 5v supply whenever I want to turn it off as the box does get reasonably hot after a while. Whether this affects its longevity is yet to be seen but as of writing this review its all working fine. The 720p/1080p switch seems somewhat redundant given RCA cables could only output up to 480 and again would much rather see a power switch here.

Not For PAL & Capture Cards.
I purchased this product to convert VHS video into my video capture card but there are two problems.First, when I tried to watch a UK - PAL encoded video using a TV via HDMI to test with the picture is of poor quality with washed out colour. But when I used a US - NTSC encoded VHS tape which my VCR is compatible with, the picture is fine. Both plays ok via SCART.When I tried to use my capture card, it tells me the video picture size but no video & audio is displayed.I have now started a return process, I would not recommend this product it just too cheap.

Retro gamer? This is the converter you're looking for.
If you're a retro console gamer, unless you use an older TV that has the necessary connections for your consoles you may have come across a certain problem. It goes something like this. You buy a converter and it doesn't work, doesn't work well (like poor picture quality/colours for example), or decides to randomly work with one console and not another. I even bought one specifically, for example, the SNEs, N64, and gamecube, yet it only worked from my testing with the SNES, and not very well either. I went through a few other converters, determined not to spend a lot of money on one, and ended up with a setup where I had separate converters for each system, as one wouldn't work with another etc. This one works. With each system I try it with. And it provides decent image quality to go along with that. That's a win for me.

Great Video, Poor Sound quality
Using it in my caravan to convert the built in PCA from the dvd player to my replacement TV that only has Hdmi input. As previously mentioned the sound is weak and tinny, but the video quality is very good. Great gadget for the price. Better if you can use external speakers, as I found that the best option.

Neateck RCA to HDMI converter
Arrived super fast & well packaged, if I could give this 10 stars I would, it's very simple to use you just connect your yellow, white, red to corresponding colours on the converter, add a HDMI cable in the other end & then plug in the HDMI into your TV. Or PC monitor, & it is cystal clear, I hooked up my GameCube & the picture quality was outstanding, I did have a decent HMDI cable tho, so I swopped for a cheaper one, & the picture isn't too much diffrent....I'm really pleased with this, I've had it about a week & so far so good....WORKS REALLY WELL ESPECIALLY ON A AOC gaming monitor..Ps the photos are abit dark as I posted this reveiw at 10.30pm.....
