My 4 year old son is obsessed with transformers style toys, however after buying some of the ones you need to build, it’s proven quite difficult to keep re-attaching the parts when he wants to transform them. Don’t get me wrong, they are great, but not ideal for a 4 year old. These Vtech switch and go dinos are absolutely amazing! A total game changer! We now have 3 of them and they keep him entertained for at least a couple of hours each day. He goes back to these time and time again as they are so versatile and easy to switch between the dinosaur and vehicle. The sound can be switched off (something we found handy on the plane). Haven’t had to change batteries yet so seems to be a long lasting one. The sounds are actually quite fun and not too loud. Good size for carrying in his rucksack too, so he can take one or two of these out and about on trips.

My 4 year old son loves this toy, it’s a good size for him to transport about but he especially loves the fact that when a car it pops into scorpion mode at the press of a button. He figured out very quickly how to transform it into a car again on his own so highly recommend.

Sturdy toy, lots of fun changing from scorpion to car and back. Only problem is there isn't an off switch on this one unlike some of the other vtech switch and go dinos.

Wow. I love this toy, and I can’t believe what good value for money it is. Even at the RRP I think it is good value – a perfect present for a Birthday or Christmas, and ideal for a child to give to another as a party gift. It comes nicely boxed AND a battery is already installed. It had not occurred to me, when I ordered it, that a battery was needed for the sound and light….. and there is nothing worse than giving a child a battery operated toy without a battery. I’d always rather pay a bit extra for every toy to have the relevant batteries included.This toy, although shown as a car in the listing, comes nicely packaged as a dinosaur, but it does not take much effort to convert it into a car. My 6 years old grandson converted it in no time - with one arm in a plaster cast. The number, and quality of the sounds this toy makes, amazed me. From the time I gave it to him (for his ‘no fuss bravery’ when he dislocated and fractured his elbow, and a bone in his forearm, a few days ago), and left a few hours later, I don’t think I’d heard all the sounds. There were dino facts, realistic scary roaring, car sounds, and more. With its red flashing eyes/lights in addition to all the sounds, I think its a really impressive toy, made all the better by its very reasonable price. Buy this. You won’t be disappointed.

So much easier to use than actual transformers that seem really tricky. My 6 year old son and 5 year old nephew love these

My 3 year old LOVES this transformer. It changes from a car to a dinosaur, lots of little parts to move so not too simple but just enough for my little boy to be entertained, and it makes noises and speaks. It was perfect for what we wanted and was impressed with the quality for the price. Will be buying more of this range.

Bought as a present and although a good toy that is easy for young kids to play with, I was very disappointed that it arrived with a dead battery.

Bought for Christmas for my nephew along with another from the same line for his brother. Immediately dropped their much more expensive toys to play with these and would not be distracted from them for the rest of the day. They took a beating (the dinos) and stood up to the punishment with no visible problems.Well worth every penny and I have been assured by my sister (their mum) that they have continued to be played with far more than any of their other new toys making her weeks of shopping for the perfect present seem like wasted time. I guess young boys like dinosaurs that turn into cars, who knew?
