I have been looking around for a wooden salad bowl for some time. Sadly the dog got hold of the last one at a summer barbecue and that was the end of it.I have been searching for a replacement for ages but they are all either really cheap looking or very expensive. I am not going to pay forty odd quid to provide Demon Dog with the most expensive chew toy she will ever have.This salad bowl is perfect, beautiful colour, not too dark and not too pale. It looks and feels more expensive than it's actual cost it has a lovely smooth finish, it is also a nice handy size and will hold enough salad for two to eight people.I am really pleased with it. I also bought the matching servers, which add to it nicely.I am so happy with it, I shall take extra care to ensure it is safe from meddling paws.

Wasn't expecting much of this bowl given the price but I was pleasantly surprised! It was a present for someone and I had been looking for ages in the shops but all the bowls seemed very expensive or cheap and nasty. This one is cheap and nice! My only gripe is that it could do with being a bit deeper but its just a minor moan. I think this bowl will last for years and once oiled (I NEVER wash my salad bowl - just wipe the remaining oil round it after the salad is finished) the wood will just get better and better looking. Fab!

I decided to give it a proper review as I really love this bowl, heck even decided to purchase another one, but to enjoy it you really need to put some effort into removing stickers and to get rid of the smell of the wet warehouse.Stickers: very hard to remove! I destroyed first bowl trying to scrub it with a wire sponge (see video). I don't mind it though as it's mostly at the bottom, and inside is always covered with some fruit. For the second bowl, I used the wire sponge again but did not press so hard. I had to scrub the glue vertically (after I finally removed the sticker itself), then use normal sponge to rub what's left from the glue and then scrub it with wire sponge horizontally again. This had to be repeated few times. I still have some glue left, but I will get there eventually, I am sure :)The smell: the second bowl was not bad, however the first one must have been kept in some moist place within warehouse for a long time. It smelled like mould! Terrible if you are planning to keep food in it! But I found a way to get rid of this stench. I sprayed the bowls with some Mr Muscle Window Glass Cleaner, then poured some warm water into the bowl and left it for the night, to get rid of the smell. Mr Muscle contains vinegar which I think did the trick. I wouldn't advise to put vinegar itself as it is to strong.So I am taking away one star as I spent to much time on the bowls to make them usable, but in the end I am happy. They look amazing and perfectly match my kitchen :)

This is really well made, washes up lovely. Used it for a dinner party and lots commented on how lovely it was. There were a few negative reviews for this bowl. So glad I took the chance. Well worth the ££s

A very nice salad bowl indeed!

I like the bowl alot but is too small for my needs. It's a very good looking bowl, but I found a larger wooden bowl for less money. From a local retailer which is just as nice looking.I am a little concerned that my return hasn't happened yet. It was meant to be picked up on the 1st of July and it's still sitting in my hallway.When do you think you could complete my return so I can get my refund.Thank youHarvey Humphries

Arrived quickly and no cracks or deformities I've seen in 1 or 2 other reviews. The wood grain is lovely, and shape is really nice. You can find ever so slightly cheaper for similar, but for a couple of £ extra, you do get a very nice wood bowl! Very happy with it.
