excellent scales - not too big
We got these to replace the ones we flooded in our bathroom!! They don't have a light, so you can't see in the dark - but that's the only thing on reflection I would have liked. Maybe I'm a bit OCD weighing myself.

Salter digital bathroom scales.....innovation in a neat package
Salter, a long established company in business of weighing equipment have produced many implements throughout their years, established in 1790. Of course in a digital age scales have their part to play. This product is innovative through its ability to calculate weight,BMI, and water content of your body. The only criticism I have is that the instructions bear no relation to the operation of the machine itself.......or rather the symbols as stated in the manual are not the ones to configure your personal input......you can programme it for each individuals gender/height/age.So here is a quick tip.....ignore the symbols on the top of the machine (they are there for display only), but relate and locate to three buttons (located under the front edge of the machine) press the middle one to turn on the machine and use the two either side to scroll forwards or backwards through the menu. If the manual stated this it would be perfect. With a fifteen year guarantee and a price which very competitive, I think it's a small price to pay to keep a check on your health. Update the manual pleaseUPDATE:After using these scales for 6 months I find some anomalies with them. I took two readings two days apart 94.5 first reading and the second 95.3. I have been poorly(not eaten much at all) so how on earth I could have put weight on is baffling.Extracts of their reply to my e-mail:"Weight fluctuation during the day varies from person to person. Some people notice a difference of 1 to 2 Kg. per day all the way up to 5 per day""Most scales for domestic use do not have an accuracy check however our standard accuracy check is +/- 1% or 1 division, whichever is the greater"."If two successive measurements are different your weight lies between the two"CONCLUSIONYou can decide whether these are for fit for purpose......mind at this price I suppose you can't expect the ultimate weighing machine. If you want accurate measurements buy scales which apparently have some kind of accuracy check built in and the tolerance of accuracy is quite low. Salter say +/- 1% is their standard..... but think about this. The heavier you are the more the greater the discrepancy in your weight eg (90 Kilo= .9 of a kilo out120Kilo=1.2 kilo out)Not great sales tactics....they never mention this in the product description.

Smart, Simple & Does the Job!
Smart looking scales and easy to use. Furthermore, it was easy to program my personal details: gender, age and height.Although the sale of this product included batteries, the batteries included were almost dead, so I had to insert my own, new batteries. For that reason - 4 stars, instead of 5.

undecided
I don't know if I am going to keep these or return them. I've only used them a few times, so maybe they need to adjust? I bought these after my smart scales broke in transit to my new apartment, and in comparison these are lacking in a lot of the features I was used to, as well as the accurate results. And all for around the same price. I chose these because I like Salter as a company, and the scales are really cute and would great in my new bathroom. However, the uncertainty I feel now after seeing inaccurate results (changing each time I step on) is too stressful. this morning after weigh-in I was convinced something must be wrong with me if my weight has increased by 3 kg overnight... with no changes to my diet or anything. Then I weighed myself in the evening and the number was lower... so I stepped off and on again and finally it gave me a number I was very used to seeing! anyway. weird. for the money, just invest in a smart scale where you can connect an app to see all the lil details, with more accuracy than these

Neatly fits my bathroom. Looks good and can be moved easily. Good value for money.

Waste of Money
I did my research and none of it revealed that it decides weight too quickly which results in inaccurate readings while you're still stepping on and the body analysis is wildy inconsistent. Speed is meaningless if the result is wrong
