Great value for money and performs very well.
This is a very good product for the price. My water pressure isn't high enough to run more than one of these, which is a shame, however, given that I have poor pressure, this sprinkler still covers a radius of about 4 metres, so an area of just over 50 m^2. It's very easy to set up and the instructions, whilst not idiot proof, are fairly simple and very easy to follow. To get this set up correctly, read the instructions and then adjust one setting at a time to see the adjustment and re-adjust if necessary. Doing this will have you up and running in a couple of minutes and, once set up correctly, this sprinkler will deliver an even mist of water over the entire area. If you have higher water pressure than me, it's easy to daisy chain a few of them or run them from a manifold. The build quality is typical of Silverline; fairly rough machining and casting but functional. I wouldn't expect it to stand up to abuse but it does come with a lifetime warranty, though if you pre-spike the ground before pushing this in, it should last. Overall, for between £7 and £10, this is an excellent piece of kit that does the job of a sprinkler costing many times more and if cared for and used correctly, should last. Well worth the money.

Second one we’ve had. Seems good.
We’ve had one for years. I believe that’s Silverline also which is why we went for this. On the old one we’d lost or broken the cap which covers the outlet for daisy chaining. I don’t think this was down to any inherent flimsiness however. We’d used it for a few years with a really bodged up solution to blank that off. These can be tricky to use until you get the hang of them, but they cover a far greater area than any other type we’ve tried and offer a lot of adjustability once you know how. Ours is an odd shaped lawn with narrower parts and curves and we can still cover it with about three moves and some quick adjustments.I’ve knocked off some stars as this one started to unscrew from its spike base on its own and was leaking. It was easy to retighten and seems fine now. If it stays like that I’ll come back and up the stars again. It’s not an inherent design flaw as our old one has never done this. Perhaps not tightened enough at the factory or unlucky. I wouldn’t let this put you off.Metal construction is reassuring and nice to see these days.

Still working after 3 years!
I purchased this sprinkler back in June 2013, and it is still going strong. Having tried a variety of sprinklers over the years, the Silverline is a gold standard product.Pop this Silverline into the ground and you can easily cover a diameter of 60ft with an even distribution of water. It has "collars" which are adjustable, so you can restrict the sprinkler's range of motion if you wish, rather than have it rotating through 360 degrees. It also has an adjuster on the spray head, so you can easily alter the range of the spray. One unusual advantage I discovered about this sprinkler is that it keeps the spray of water close to the ground, so the spray tends not to get affected by the wind very much. Something to bear in mind for the UK weather! If you have a large plot which needs watering, this product is a must-have. The standard sprays you get in the garden-centre just don't have the range.

Effective but delicate
Works well initially but very temperamental - of the 3 I have, only 1 really works properly. The others tend to fail to reverse, or turn weakly.

SOLVED: Sprinkler not spinning?
Ok, so your sprinkler isn’t spinning? Or it is spinning, but only one way and not returning? Or it wants to spin one way only?🛑 STOP! DON’T RETURN YOUR SPRINKLER!🟢 HERE IS THE SOLUTION!These are the ingredients to a happy sprinkler, and like all recipes it is a fine balance, so you need to be patient. Change one thing at a time and test it. It took me a week to fine tune my set up of four sprinklers.STEP 3 IS THE KILLER CHANGE YOU NEED!!1. WD-40 or ACF-50 —I used a combination of the two, the ACF as my base hardcore lube (do not use grease) that I drenched the sprinkler in, and then WD I used whilst it’s in operation.2. Water pressure is a given, if you want multiple sprinklers (maximum of two I would suggest with normal UK tap pressure) you must feed them via two mains taps to create a water ‘ring main’. Each tap and hose connects to each side of your sprinklers. It sounds daft, but it works. A solo sprinkler off one tap will work. My mains pressure is 15 litres per minute - you can test yours by filling a measuring jug from your mains tap (start it with the tap already running) and timing 6 seconds, then multiply the volume in your jug by 10. 10 litres per minute is ok-ish, 15 is good. Any higher than 15 is excellent and below 10 you’ll struggle.3. KILLER MOD: You need to loosen the alun bolt as shown in my photos - doing so will slacken up the friction/downward pressure on your sprinkler to help it spin more freely. Dose with your chosen non-viscous lube (ie: use runny stuff only, no thick oils or grease). This is the killer change that will fix any sprinkler that doesn’t appear to be working out of the box. Take care though, because loosening the alun bolt will also reduce the water pressure to the sprinkler itself; because the water can escape more easily due to you slackening the alun bolt. Do one full turn of the bolt at a time and test test test.4. As well as this you need to tweak the flow rate screw. The finer the spray you choose (ie: if you don’t want it to spray so far) the less able the sprinkler is to turn itself. So once you have complete steps 1, 2 and 3 above play with the little defuser screw and return to step 3 if you’re still not having any joy. Oh and return to step 1 too :)I ended up feeding four sprinklers from two taps using - believe it or not - four separate electronic timers so two taps would turn on and feed two sprinklers at a time. Then when those timers have finished my other two timers would turn on the taps to feed the two remaining sprinklers. It took some planning and a bit of effort but my grass is magnificent :-)Good luck!

Poor quality, breaks easily
Terrible. Worked for 10 mins, next time I came to use it, it doesn't rotate automatically. No matter what I try it no longer works, have read manual, watched videos online, nothing works
