Wow. I'm blown away by this the price to performance ratio for this drive! The speeds on paper seem slow compared to other Gen 4 drives with DRAM on board, but in practice it's pretty fast. Solidigm is not a no name company, this is Intel's old NVME storage arm that was made independent a few years ago so rest assured this thing is reliable. It uses modules from SK Hynix too if you care about that. Be sure to download the Solidigm Synergy app and enable fast lane to get faster speeds for frequently accessed files. This drive is perfect for gaming and if you need cheap Gen 4 SSD storage for things like video files. Can't say I'd use this as a main drive for productivity, but this is perfect for a single drive gaming build!

I read a TweakTown review about this. From the technical performance, it beats even the most expensive SSDs. It’s not the fastest in sequential write benchmarks, but it is amazing in real world performance. The Intel (now Solidigm) QLC on this is very good, obviously the best QLC in the world, because it can outperform most TLC in real world tasks, and has high longevity. Between this and Crucial/Micron QLC, there is no comparison. This is better. The HMB functionality replaces the DRAM cache here, which doesn’t actually reduce performance. Overall, it’s a super solid product at a great price, and it has great QLC, controller, and firmware tuning. This is my new favorite brand. It also has a bootable firmware upgrade tool when the need arises, and it may be compatible with Linux FWUPD, so Linux users don’t need to worry about booting Windows to get firmware updates.

Hasn't failed me yet; relatively cheap 2TB SSD that does what it's supposed to do and does it well.

Although Solidigm has been around a short time when purchased by SK Hynix in 2021, before that it was a subsidiary of Intel. Solidigm has long roots in the chip industry. These M.2 2280 3D NAND are inexpensive, easy to use, and so far have proven a great value in my NAS. I use two 2TB NANDs. One is for cache and the other serves as an SSD storage pool. A wired setup, but it works allowing for faster throughput on my NAS.

I just wrote a mega-good review about the successor to this model the P44 & these things are no joke. If you want to hang with the big boys then you would want to include this as part of your arsenal. I can only assume that the next model will run off of plutonium.Keep making fast SOLIDIGM!!!
