Are the burners cast iron or stainless steel? If they are stainless steel does a magnet stick to them?

The reason why this question was asked is because: high quality stainless steel is virtually not magnetic, while lower quality stainless steel (which might rust) is magnetic.

Has anyone found a cover that fits this beast, or is it a tarpaulin job?

I use a tarpaulin with heavy duty clips

How do I connect the single gas ring? It has a metal pipe from the burner but no obvious way to connect to the gas flow knob at the front.

We had to buy more hose and connectors to get the gas working

What is height of the unit from floor with casters? (not including the bbq hood)

To the top of the hood about 4 ft. Working height around 3ft 4inches
