Yes, it will cover your ear. I use these when I am practicing bass and the family need a bit of quiet. The sound level/quality is excellent at this price and I recommend them. I would not recommend for listening to music when jogging, no sound escapes the ear phone and no sound comes in apart from the music source. Hope this helps, will answer more if needed.

Its about 2m love. I bought an extension cable with mine. Good phones tho.
