Looked different and stronger than the one removed!
Next day delivery, all good. The wheel received must be an upgrade of the one removed. Stronger design with proper bearing, same size, same bracket. I was pleased I went for the more expensive genuine part item! I found the defective wheel when changing the drive belt. I also found the impeller cooling fan cracked (so worth checking before assembly). I had no problem changing the wheel. With the new belt already fitted (this requires removal of top, sides, strut, condenser, impeller, impeller ducting and some electric cables disconnection), the wheel with bracket can be fitted by just removing the top and right side, impeller and impeller ducting and fan. Remove the old bracket and wheel then place the new one in place and insert the nearest bolt. Leave it slightly loose, make sure the hook is inserted in the motor cooling hole. Place the belt correctly on the motor shaft and around the new wheel. Then press down on the new wheel until the belt tensions and the other bolt hole is aligned. Insert the bolt and tighted both. Check the belt is still correctly located on the motor drive shaft and drum. At this stage I connected the power and let the drum rotate a few times, making sure the belt stayed in position. Disconnect power. Refit impeller fan assembly, side and top. Job done!

Good
The first wheel recurved was correct but broken. Issue fixed quickly with a replacement received within a few days. Weirdly the replacement fitted but was of a different design. Fitting was very easy - just 2 bolts. Machine is working perfectly now.

Save money and a workout for your biceps
I thought our tumble dryer motor had seized. The drum wouldn't turn at all. After watching a video tutorial I opened up the dryer and took a good look around. The band had become loose and snagged under the jockey wheel due to excessive play in the jockey wheel.Fitting the new jockey wheel was straight forward but stretching the band back was very difficult (I hear there is a specific tool to do this, pricey no doubt). I found it best to let the dryer run for a few minutes with the belt loosely in place. This applied heat to the belt making it pliable and easier to handle.Remember to check if you need a new belt when ordering a jockey wheel. Removing the drum enough to slip over a new belt is fiddley and watch out for the very sharp edges (I didn't, ouch).I'd recommend having a go before calling out a repair agent or buying a replacement machine. Just be careful, go slowly and prepare for a reasonable test of strength.

Do you research before buying and fitting - DIY Noob successfully installed!
Received this product after 5 working days (1 day after the earliest date of delivery so not bad!) - Product seemed very sturdy and comparing this with the suspected faulty part quickly made me realize the offender of my broken tumble dryer was indeed the jockey wheel.Right to do this, you will need to remove the top and the side panel (Phillips screwdriver and a lot or force needed for the top). Once removed you then remove the plastic housing for the fan (use a flat head to loosen all the inserts) and the fan itself (Pliers needed for Jubilee clip removal before removing fan). Once removed you'll see the belt over the jockey wheel, used an 8mm socket to remove both bolts then re-seat the new wheel and lock in bolts again.Right now for the HARD PART - Re-seating the belt over the wheel is a very tough process you need to ensure you get enough slack just to seat a tiny bit of it over the jockey wheel, once you have then spin the drum so the rest of the belt will follow you should hear a loud knock which is just the belt catching onto the wheel. I sat there afterwards for about 2-3 minutes spinning it both ways to ensure the belt would not come off.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Watching a Youtube tutorial on how to do this (Seriously DON'T attempt without doing so), I am probably the biggest noob at fixing things or even general DIY but after watching E-spares tutorial video on how to replace this i done it within about 30-45 minutes.

Poor quality, poor service, poor seller
Fitted this jockey wheel and it squeaked loudly from day one. For a few weeks, the noise got louder with each use until it eventually stopped - as did the whole dryer drum. After dismantling the dryer again, I found the jockey wheel had collapsed and trapped the drive belt which was then damaged by the motor spindle continuing to spin. The brass bush bearing on this wheel is just not up to the job - see attached images. The friction between the brass bush and its axle was too much and both disintegrated very quickly.I requested a return/refund but was turned down immediately because the return window had closed. Amazon customer services contacted the seller to action a refund under their Ts&Cs regarding the legal warranty but the seller neither replied nor actioned a refund. Buy at your own risk - if it all goes Pete Tong, the seller may refuse to do anything about it.It's a sub-standard part and I've received sub-standard service when trying to get a refund. I've now also had to pay out extra for a replacement belt that was damaged when the jockey wheel failed - bad experience all round! Stay well clear! My best advice would be to pay a couple of extra pounds and source a replacement jockey wheel which has a proper bearing (I've learned from experience and done just that - the new one with a bearing has been working a treat since I installed it along with the new belt) as the brass bush just isn't up to the job.
