This is the o my brand we trust because it’s the ingredients is water and salt. We have tried giving him raw oysters and he did not like them. Oysters provide a good source of manganese for dogs so this product is a perfect addition to his homemade food.

The good:- Simple ingredients (oysters, water, salt)- Great quality base for many recipesThe bad:- I am assuming because of the canning process the texture becomes more soft and mushy, thought I don't think a ding to the score is warranted because all canned foods suffer from texture loss.Final thoughts:I am impressed with how good it still tastes straight out of the can. Usually can foods have a lot of preservatives and flavors that make it difficult to use outside of some limited use cases. This product provides a very solid solution to your oyster culinary needs without having to do all the hard work of processing oysters by hand. The average size for the oysters are about 1-1.5 inches long.

These cans have 170 calories!!!

In the midst of some other Amazon packages was this box of oysters. I've never used oysters from a can before. In fact, in home cooking I don't know if I've ever tried oysters. It's always been something restaurant only.I cooked up my regular clam chowder recipe and added a can of the oysters. The ocean taste was a little much, but easily fixed by adding more water, some cheese, pepper flakes, and a cubed potato. Delicious!

Quality of this product is great.The only improvement that would really make a difference to me is a pull top lid.
