Seems like the real deal
I'm using this dissolved in 70% isopropyl alcohol for itchy spots on my scalp. You can pay $10 for a 1 ounce bottle of it at the pharmacy, or you can buy this and make bottles of it for pennies. All you need is a decent scale that will measure milligrams, which I got on Amazon as well.

Medication Grade Quality - External Use Only
I like to increase the strength of the commercially available acne peelers by adding extra salicylic acid. Don't do this yourself at home unless you know the pharmaceutical math. This product was inexpensive and medication grade. Didn't like the paper bag it came in, though.

4/5 stars
I am between giving this 4 or 5 stars. I will start with cons: 1. I wish there were instructions and maybe even a measuring spoon instructing on how much to use. My first time trying I just dipped the tip of my index finger in the powder and used. My face immediately turned red and started burning. I used olive oil to calm it down which leads to the pros. Before that, 2. This dries out my skin. PROS: 1. My skin has cleared up. I was having severe adult acne and trying everything including vitamins and home remedies. All of them will help a little but so far this is working the best. It’s like a skin peel for me.

Good quality
Used mine in the synthesis of methyl salicylate via the Fischer esterification reaction. Yield was as expected. Good quality product.

Bad pouch design spreads dust everywhere, use PPE.
On the Positive side of things: I was able to completely dissolve the SA powder in Propylene Glycol to make a solution of Salicylic Acid. My final pH came out to be an acidic 2.9.The mixture worked very well and the SA seems very pure.On the Negative side of things: This pouch is a terrible container for this powder.Every move spreads Salicylic Acid dust into the air and it irritates your lungs and eyes resulting in burning and cough. I should have used common sense and wore some PPE (Goggles, dust mask, etc).I use a makeshift vent hood to keep the acid from entering our lungs.
