The tools come in a neat wallet. The instructions are clear and easy to understand. On my first ever try at something like this I opened the padlock in about 3 minutes. I will enjoy practicing more with the other two locks that are included. I hope this will be a valuable skill for the fututer and one day I may have a chance to help someone (perhaps a lost key etc?) with this kit.

I thought it would be difficult but within 15 minutes I could unlock all three training locks easily. You use the tension wrench, then insert the pick facing towards the thin end of the hole, then push and then pull whilst feeling each lock tensioner. Eventually you will find correct ones and hey presto, the lock opens! Brilliant!You get 3 x training locks with 2 keys, 14 x picks and 3 x wrenches which all store away into a nice pouch. There is also an instruction book which is quite brief, so you kinda have to do trial n error.It is great fun, so I am fully prepared if the inevitable happens. Let's just hope this kit isn't behind the lock I need to open haha.Overall I'd recommend this kit for any aspiring locksmith, or just for fun. Pity the instructions are not that comprehensive.This will also make you get some bolts for inside your door!

My son loves this. 3 different types of locks in clear acrylic with all manner of picks. Blackout covers are also provided so you can hide the interior of the lock when you become proficient.

I bought this as a beginner. The picks and other tools are all pretty good and work as advertised. The 3 locks are a complete waste of time. I appreciate they are practice locks but in all 3 cases there seems to be only 1 pin that needs adjusting to open them. I had all 3 locks opened in less than 90 secs. It pretty much defeats the purpose of "practice" when you only need to adjust a single pin and keep the rest flat - almost any tool in the set can be used to open all three. Quite frankly, I bought a cheap set of picks from aliexpress a while back for €3, in this kit, I got pretty much the same set for x8 times the price plus 3 lumps of useless plastic paperweights - I cannot recommend this set, you wont learn much from the locks provided. I've learned more using the picks on an old padlock I have lying round at home than I did from the ones provided. Dont waste your money.

It only took me about 30 minutes to master the 3 included locks and I was away. I havent found a lock I cant open yet! even my "high security" front door lock was opened and has now been changed. Padlocks dont stand a chance against this, great purchase for a thief, or someone interested in how locks work!

Excellent little set for introduction to lock picking. Loads of accessories and a cover so that when you learn to do it on the transparent lock, you then cover it. Nifty little setup and keeps you occupied

I have always been curious on the techniques of lockpickers, so much so I frequent certain YT channels in interest. This set has allowed me to give it a try for myself.So what's in the kit...3 different styles of training pin tumbler locks, all housed in transparent plastic so you can see how they work and all housed in different bodies...standard padlock, double ended cylinder lock and a night latch cylinder all with keys. The pins are not removeable and resettable so these are strictly for training of lockpicking and not locksmithing. The images are a little misleading in the listing as it shows the pins being removed, the only way to do this is to drill the plastic or physically break the lock but I do not recommend it.12 lockpicks of varying designs including hooks, rakes and diamonds...the sizes that are supplied are generalised but there are far more sizes to the overall catalogue.5 torque wrenches/tension bars2 lock covers for not cheating lol.The tools feel okay and suitable to the task of using the training set of locks. I have found this a decent way to dip your toe into the world of lockpicking and helps you understand exactly how basic lock types operate internally but that is all. If you want to take this further, source a more comprehensive kit and read, watch and study as this kit only scrapes the surface.

I bought it to spend some fun time in work.. It really is... good stuff..
