Q: Will this stain or dye clothes or skin?

Clothes seem to be ok, but it did leave some some stains on the pool floats and a ring around the pool too.

Q: Can you use it in the tub for kids?

The product needs the chlorine to rid the color, it will stain. Would NOt use in tub.

Q: Want to detect if my spa is leaking back in to pool since level has started dropping. Will this work?

Yes. It will change the color if it is leaking

Q: Is this ok for dogs to swim with?

As my review mentioned, I had to use twice as much of this as recommended just to get a moderate color change. My dogs weren’t in the pool, but it was safe for humans and it didn’t dye our bathing suits. So, I’m guessing it’s probably safe for pets.
