I usually take a marine collagen and for joint pain I’ve found it actually works, so when this came along I thought I’d try it.For transparency reasons, I want to note I did try the liquid version of this brand, and I didn’t notice any difference between the capsules I had been taken and the liquid, other than the liquid needed stored in the fridge and took up more room than capsules.When I tried these, I stopped both my original collagen capsules and the liquid version, and took one of these a day. Not the recommended 4.I haven’t noticed any difference in my joints, that means they haven’t worsened nor have they got any better than they are.I a, going to stick with one a day for another week and then progress up to two, and if anything changes I will update this review.

After two days of taking these supplements I noticed a marked difference in my skin. My 50 + skin is glowing. Got to wait and see what it does for my wrinkles but so far, so good. Well worth a punt. I’ve decided to subscribe.

Love the brand and will try other non-bovine products, Davinia’s Instagram has been my sole motivation the past few months!I’ve been taking marine collagen for about two years with no issue. I hadn’t tried bovine collagen until using this product, unfortunately within a few days of use I developed severe dermatitis around my left eye, which then turned to a nasty red ring under the eye.Genuinely flabbergasted as I’m not a particularly allergic person, only suffering with mild hives in cold weather/cold extreme wind.After a lot of research I discovered if you are even mildly intolerant to histamine it can lead to allergy issues with bovine collagen, based on my unpleasant experience I would avoid and stay with marine.Unless you are fortunate to not be histamine intolerant!

These come in a plastic bottle with screw top lid, and you get 120 capsules inside. Unfortunately they won’t last that long as taking the full dose will only keep you going for one month. I’ve tried collagen powder and was curious what caps would be like so I’m glad I’ve tried these. They’re advertised as being good for hair, skin and nails but collagen can have benefits beyond that throughout the body. The difference with these supplements from Beauty Blend is that they also contain HA and various other vitamins and nutrients.Bovine and marine collagen are included in this supplement. Bovine collagen is 225mg per capsule (900mg total per dose) and marine is 75mg (300mg total per dose). Then there’s Bit C, via E, various B bits, copper, chromium, zinc, selenium, co-enzyme Q10, hyaluronic acid, etc. It’s a much more varied supplement that goes beyond simply collagen to boost the benefits to hair, skin, nails and more. The only thing is to make sure you’re not overdoing anything if you take additional supplements; I already take Vit C and zinc supplements so I’ve cut those down while on these capsules.This is a UK brand with the product “manufactured in the UK at GMP Approved Facility and ISO 9001 certified facilities”. There’s a use by date on the bottle of the bottle; mine has just under 2 years. Once you take the cap off, there’s a foil seal to ensure freshness. Mine wasn’t really stuck to the bottle well, which is a bit off-putting. Usually you need to peel them off but mine almost popped off when touching it.This product requires 4 capsules for one single dose. You could do less of course but then you’ll get a lower dose of collagen and the other vits. I personally think having to take 4 of these a day is a bit excessive. I know plenty of brands do it, but I don’t see why it can’t be made into just one or two capsules personally. It makes it sound like you’re getting a lot in the tub but at four a day, they’d only last 30 days. At the time of writing, these are £19.99 and on offer for £16.99. They’re not cheap and I think they are a tad overpriced, even though you get some decent ingredients inside. If paying this much, I’d want to not have to be taking four large capsules each day for the pleasure, so that’s the real downside for me.It doesn’t say whether to tale these with or without food, so I assume either is fine. The capsules are quite large but being caps makes them easier to swallow compared to tablets, at least for many people. I can’t take tabs due to absorption issues but I’ve been fine with these. The downside is when having to take more than one because the size may then become a bit of an issue.It’s hard to say whether there’s any difference for me yet as I’ve only recently started them, and I think things like this often take weeks or months to create any benefits to things like hair and skin. I’m keen to stick with them but given the cost for one month’s supply, I’d prefer to buy on offer in future. They seem like a decent brand and a quality product, but the need for four pretty large caps each day for one dose is the unappealing part for me.

Convenient capsule to take cologen

I've been taking collagen supplements for few months now, not for my skin and hair, but for my joints, and I find it works well for me - with the side effect of improving my skin tone into the bargain.I've tried several different brands, of both bovine and marine collagen and can't discern any real difference in their effectiveness, although there is often a big discrepancy in price.This one, which is in capsule form, is very reasonably priced for one month's supply (at a dosage of 4 capsules a day) and although I appreciate that not all collagen supplements are created equal, I suspect that price isn't always necessarily an indicator of quality. So if you want to try collagen, this is as good a place to start as any - although if you have trouble swallowing tablets, perhaps you'd be better off with the powder form.
