I have some Thanksgiving cacti that are so droopy that when they bloom, they tip their pots over. I bought these pots put about 2 inches of pea gravel in first, then place the smaller potted cactus into it. Now, no tipping over. I probably would not plant directly into them without a liner, as I cannot attest to the degree they are galvanized and may rust too quickly. For the price and my need, they are perfect.
