Eats .223 at 50 yards just fine

Takes a 5.56 no problem

To date I have shot at this target at a range of 85 yards with the following:300 WSM (Tikka T-3)8 mm Turkish Mauser7.62x63 (M-1)280 REM (Ruger M-77)30x30 (Marlin 366)223 (Ruger Mini-14)45 ACP9MMEven with very hot ammo, minor pitting is all the happens. The target makes a very satisfying "ping" noise that can be heard even with ear protection. Interestingly, the deepest deformations occur with hunting ammo in the 300 WSM and 280 REM and not the FMJ surplus military ammo. Since the performance has been so good, I am going to shoot my 375 Ruger at it next week. I hope I don't damage it with the 375. While not cheap, if it lasts my lifetime it will be worth it. I would say as a negative that the paint is a joke and adds no value at all. My target is bare metal now of course. I use a black magic marker to mark each impact.

I really like my new target but there's damage,it's a target I will inflict a lot more 🤣

I've shot nearly every square inch of my 1/2" thick 12" diameter piece at least once with 5.56 and smaller at ranges varying from 15 meters to 200M meters. No concerning pits or or anything. Highly recommended.
