Clipco Binder Clips Super Extra Large 2-1/3in Black (2-Pack)

While many people are familiar with small the binder clips to hold paperwork together; there are other applications for that 'technology,' that are outside-the-box. I live in a mid-Atlantic State, trying to save money by only using a space heater on the 1st floor of my 3-story house, where I work and exist 18 hours a day. So, to me, it's a waste to heat the whole house. Being cold in the rest of the house, I needed a solution. The answer was multiple blankets on my bed. I have a top sheet and quilt, then I had ordered 8 matching blankets to put on top of that, but I needed a way to keep them all together. I bought the largest binder clips you can get at an office-supply store, which is 1". It wasn't enough the grasp the entire pile. Then I found these. At almost 2", they are enough to accommodate my almost 30 pounds of blankets, and keep me snug as a bug in a rug. American innovation and ingenuity at work. They are very strong and well-made. The arms are also very long, but I actually take them off, as they're not needed.

These 6 inch versatile clips are strong and I used them to make a personal designed bookcase for my husbands office. His filing system is on the floor and his bathroom floor, but now he has moved it into the family room and and when saw he has now taken over my kitchen it was time to act. I bought a bunch of wood crates about the size of a small cardboard bankers box and stacked them horizontally and vertically in his office around and under his windows. I used these six inch clips to stabilize them by clipping the wood boxes together on the sides and bottom of each crate. I then stacked his work books, journals, reading books and baskets to hold his papers in his office (which is a large bedroom). I am happy to say that I have the family room and the kitchen back. As for his bathroom, I am still not allowed in.

I use it to hang a calendar on the wall.

Standard "very large" clip. We use these to overlay onto other smaller clips, when multiple squeezing is required. They do get "weak", but it takes the usual abuse (ie: flat-out).
