Good sturdy product
Good design as seeds don’t get clogged at the bottom. This is a replacement for the smaller version which has lasted us more than 20 years.

Birds won’t go near it
The feeder itself is easy to fill, sturdy etc.Filled the feeder with niger seeds 3 weeks ago and still waiting to see a bird feeding from it. The finches sit on the fence looking at it but that’s it. Shook niger seeds on the ground and they’ve eaten them. So it’s not the seeds. In 10 years of feeding wild birds this is the first time I’ve seen a complete refusal to use a feeder.Any suggestions?

Gold Finches love it
The Gold Finches soon accepted the feed and now feed daily on the Niger seed

Nyger seed feeder; 6-perch/6 hole version
It is not the easiest to clean, but this large feeder holds roughly 500g of nyger seed, on my measure, and offers 6 perches with the tiny feeding hole above each that is aimed at the finches. The design has so far foxed the pesky squirrels that kept annihilating (i.e. gnawing) the previous design I had for our now growing number of goldfinches! The feeder, which is seemingly well made & tidily finished off, came ready to use, MINUS the seed, in an attractive cardboard box that measured 11 cm square x 40 cm. With a metal-type lid, which lifts and tips to the side to fill, the feeder is 48 cm long overall, including the non-adjustable height handle. The sturdy, transparent plastic-type tube has an inner diameter of 6 cm.The insert in the bottom stops the seed from collecting at the base and the loss to the ground is seemingly less.Subdued, the brand name is embossed on the lid.The current product detail above states:~ ‘Rust Resistant’Time will tell; any problems I will be back!

Looks fine. But no birds have used it yet
This looks fine. I have filled it and hung it on the feeder. That was three weeks ago and I haven’t seen a bird on it yet!
