Give yourself plenty of time to experiment
This stuff is pretty cool, but I had some difficulty with it and had to play around with different solutions. I'm in a production of a Greek Tragedy, playing the mad prophetess Cassandra, and the director wrote in a bit where Cassandra cuts herself. This bit is later in the scene, after I've already run around the stage a few times, crawled on the floor, screamed, trembled, etc. When I first tried using this powder, most of it had already come off of my wrists by the time I got to the part in the scene where I needed it. The "cuts" I was making on my wrist were a very faint red, hardly visible a few rows back from the stage. I mixed the powder with corn starch to make it thicker and got a really nice effect, much more like blood. However, in order to get the concoction to stay on my wrists through the first part of the scene, I had to apply a thin layer of oil (I used canola oil). Unfortunately, the powder is not entirely invisible when applied over the oil, but because my character is crazy and my costume is really dirty, no one thinks twice about me having dirty wrists. If you apply the powder over an oil, use a cosmetic sponge of some sort to help keep it looking subtle. This powder has a tendency to get everywhere and leave little pink spots in places you wouldn't suspect, so use caution! I used a couple of towels to dry my hands after washing this stuff off, and the towels turned a little pink, but they were white again after a trip through the wash with some OxyClean. The clothes, however, where the powder landed after flying off of my wrists, still bear the pink spots.

Magical
I do a bit of “Gospel Magic” and was looking for a way to turn water into wine. By brushing a light coating of this in the bottom of the cup, this does the trick perfectly. A minimal amount goes a long way. While I was experimenting with it, I also tried a bit on my hands, and I achieved some pretty realistic bleeding palms, which could be very effective in a passion play, or as Jesus appearing before Thomas. With the price, I was a bit hesitant to buy it, but I am very glad I did!

Great but messy
This product works amazingly but it is hell to remove, makeup remover wipes only activate it more and by the end I had an entirely bright red face that I had to wash several times before it went back to normal. Does the job great, just be prepared to dedicate some time during the cleaning process.

Effective but messy
It's really small but you get a lot of use cause it doesn't take much powder to get the effect. Howecer it's really really difficult to not get it everywhere which results in your counters occasionally being red

Wonderful!
Works really well and is super cool!I’d applied it with my fingertips and forgot about it, when I washed my hands a bit later, it startled me! It’s got a very nice color and is fairly transparent on the skin.
