I am seriously impressed
To be honest I had very low expectations for this welder. I have welded for over 40 years and I have always owned and used the big name red and blue ones. I've never welded with flux core so that was an adjustment for me. I had 2 red ones stolen with the tanks and carts so a few thousand dollars worth in the last few months. I needed to weld some exhaust pipe on an engine test stand that I have been building. Being low on money and few options I took a gamble on this one. I thought I would return it if it sucked and no harm no foul.I set it up within minutes and used a few pieces of scrap to get the settings right. And holy cow!I am super impressed with it! It fed wire flawlessly and smoothly. Great welds on 16 gauge exhaust! I finished that project and just played with it.3/16" angle welded like a dream. Maxed out on both knobs with. 030" wire. On 110v! On the exhaust I used 1 on the volt knob and 35 on the amps. Beautiful and smooth welds! The second picture is a piece of 1/2" plate that I thought I'd try it on. 110v with .035" wire. Again it performed perfectly and impressed the heck out of me.I haven't tried it on 220v or tried the arc weld function. I may never need to honestly. But for $1600 cheaper than what I amaccustomed to, I am estatic! Incredible little machine! For the down sides, the leads are incredibly short. Maybe 5' at best. But as light as it is I just put it near where I'm working.

This was a nice suprise
Hello everyone ,Wanted to take the time to do a review on this welder. there are not enough reviews to do it justice.out of the box this is a small unit. i am use to industrial welders that are a lot larger with higher voltage , i.e.(220 volt~440 volts). have heard of and researched inverter welders. was not really expecting a lot from a 110 volt welder. it was a pleasant surprise that this small unit does well. on test run turned settings all the way up and burned clear through the test piece! not expected have heard 110 volt units have a hard time. once i found good settings it welded smooth. smaller bead than i am use to and that's a plus , the intention for it is to weld exhaust and light sheet metal . but the plus is it can weld thicker metal than i originally thought . i am happy with this purchase and do recommend for even beginners .The only thing that was a negative is the door hinges are plastic and one of them broke. will repair this myself, (2" hinges are cheap to replace). hope this helps some one.Scott

I just wanted to know and I found out!
I just want to know it....IF.....when you are in mig mode, 0.8 MM wire size (.030 size wire) IF when you squeeze the trigger on the torch and adjust the voltage, will the voltage amount be displayed on the LED read out? I cannot find the contact address to "Hey up welding" and it's frustrating! It seems to be a nice welder. The amperage control works just fine for the wire speed. The unit is light and I like that. If I can just find out about the voltage control. Simple question, when you adjust the voltage while squeezing the rigger on the torch, will a numerical value show up on the LED Display indicating the amount of voltage?Edit.....The good folks at Hey up contacted me and I asked them if the voltage would be indicated on thedisplay when adjusted and I was told no. That settled it for me. I love this welder. its a great welderfor the price. If you are looking for a good, no non sense welder, then choose this one.

Good lil welder
Honestly, for the money, the machine I got works really really well. For $100, u can't beat it, aslong as u get one that wasn't made on a Monday, I think ull be fine. For real!

So far so food
Replaced an older heavy mig welder. I don’t weld much. Just the occasional diy projects from time to time. This fits the bill perfectly for my needs. Very user friendly, and super light weight. I have access to a 240v outlet so having the ability to have extra power if needed is nice. Can’t see myself ever needing to do any substantial structural welding but it should suffice for most diy home projects.

It welds.
The power switch won't turn off after the 3rd time switching it but it does weld great.
