Q: Are the wheels rubber or plastic?

I wouldn’t buy this. And be careful because they are private labeling the same chair under other names. I believe the wheels were plastic. It was very difficult to get the chair to go over the slightest bump. The wheels would just spin with the chair in place. Not enough battery power. I sent it back. I was hoping to replace this for the extremely heavy Pride Go chair that my mother uses. Thought it was going to be great but a big disappointment. Hope this helps in your decision making.

Q: does this need assembly?:

Super easy to put together out of box. Just push in joystick and tighten and make a connection for battery to work and your good to go. I was excited for my mom until she tried using and delay in joystick to make it move and not enough battery power even on full charge. She’s only 115lbs. Wouldn’t recommend. Sent it back

Q: what is maximum weight that chair can safely hold?

I’m not sure but I wouldn’t recommend this chair. I sent it back due to lack of power. Wheels just spin on carpeting and chair will not go over slightest bump. I loved the style, looks and size but it just couldn’t do the job.

Q: Can this be easily converted to manual chair?

Yes. By the flick of a switch underneath the seat. It works best this way because the battery does not have enough power to get this wheelchair to move. My mom is only 115 lbs so it’s not weight it’s the battery. Too bad cuz it’s a nice looking and cool designed chair.
