Purchased these when I fell pregnant and having been using this as well as their pre natal supplements. They were easy to swallow, did not have a bad taste or odor. Recommend these!

Like many in my age range, as a child the importance of calcium for females was drilled into my brain. I have normally taken centrum, but lately have started having some stomach upset from that brand. My daughter's doctor had suggested another supplement from New Chapter to help with joint health and told us this was a brand that could be trusted. When I saw they made a calcium supplement I decided it was worth a try.These have the standard safety seals around the outside of the jar and under the lid. The jar is a glass jar, tinted to protect from light damage, and has a simple twist off lid. The pills are typical length but slightly thinner than others with a smooth exterior so I found them easier to swallow. I don't normally have trouble swallowing pills so was surprised I could tell a difference between these.I normally take my calcium in the morning and magnesium in the evening, which what my doctor tells me to do. I take them with a full glass of water on an empty stomach and don't have any stomach upset or bathroom issues.Will continue with this brand.

These calcium tablets are easy to take. They are thinner than most of the other calcium supplements I've tried. They do have a smell/taste like grains or a breakfast cereal. I don't mind it, though. The tablets don't appear to be coated.Note that this supplement is not just calcium + vitamin D, like a lot of other brands. This has vitamin k, magnesium, strontium, vanadium, and more. These are meant to increase bone health.Overall, a good supplement from a good brand.

I have been using new chapter for years for fish oil, daily vitamins and my three pregnancies taking the prenatals. I realized I may not be getting as much calcium as I get older and so supplements are important. Researching a bit I found the ingredients in this new chapter calcium are from a good bioavailable source and new chapter makes most of their products “Whole Food” so your body actually digests the supplements as if it were food and utilizes the nutrients instead of just expelling the majority like other brands. These pills are easy to swallow (smaller than the prenatals new chapter makes) and didn’t upset my stomach or have any weird taste etc. The formulation has D3 in it too so you know you are supplementing another critical nutrient most are deficient in which is key to absorbing calcium.

I have been taking bone strength calcium, magnesium and D/K at the request of my doctor after being diagnosed with osteopenia. . .I haven't had another dexa scan since starting supplements from New Chapter but I have been using this model and one other one since I received my diagnosis so I hope that it is helping. I am taking the dosage my doctor recommended and hoping for the best along with diet change and exercise.The slim pills are sort of flat and coated and, while not a capsule, they are about the size of most capsules and easy for me to swallow.I think this is a good quality supplement from my research but I encourage you to do your own research too.
