Awesome Book For Puberty
This book is such a great read for a child growing up. It shows very creative and appropriate ways of how the body changes during puberty. They also make it very body friendly, as all bodies are amazing as they are. It makes me happy knowing that there is a book about body positivity that exists, especially during puberty, which is the most important time to bring this topic up. I highly recommend giving this book a read and let your child read it as well. 10/10

So helpful for a single father of a soon to be teenage daughter
This book was very helpful for both me and my daughter. I read it first so I could preview the information and have a better understanding of what changes are happening to her and how she might feel about them or be responding to them. Definitely some of the topics she is not interested in talking with me about( and to be honest i feel a bit awkward about it too) and she doesn't have many good older female role models to ask ( her grandmother is little old fashioned.) This book i think helped her realize that it's okay to feel teh way she does and give her a better idea of what to expect in the days to come. I did end up talking with her about puberty and having the book to talk about instead of just a conversation with her body as the topic made it a lot easier. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone else in this situation.

It's goood
Black and white. Very basic but its perfect for the age range and for the girls still at beginners lvl of reading. Good book to read aloud. I would actually prefer to an involved parent when it comes to teaching/learning about a young girls body than letting someone else influence her.

Very Informative
I was asked to read this book when my youngest sibling found out he was having a girl. I went through all the things in this book but you know how first time parents can be! He wanted to know if it was accurate to what girls actually go through during those ages. I read it and found it pretty informative. The author uses easy to understand concepts and I love that self live is the focus of this book. The author includes cute pictures and I wish there were more of them in it. One of the coping mechanism that's recommended in this book was actually something my therapist had told me to use so I feel like the author really gets it. Overall, I found the book to be helpful and encouraging for girls reaching the most awkward stage of life.

Very educational book!!
My granddaughter loves this book! I gifted it to her so she could look up any subject matter pertaining to being a girl and going through hormonal changes in private…..she’s read the book more than once in the little amount of time she has had it.It’s written perfectly for 8 to 12 year olds and includes topics like bullying and friendships. The information is presented in an easy way to understand and with matter of fact details taking all the embarrassment out of learning such a typically awkward subject.

Nice conversation starter
This book is pretty big- maybe 8 by 10 inches which I found surprising.I like the large font and easy words. I offered my 9 year old to read it on her own or for us to read it together. She wanted me to read it to her. Takes us less than 5 minutes to get through a chapter so it’s easy to add to our day. There are a few typos but overall it’s a good introduction to puberty

Not for 8 year olds
I decided to read the book before I introduced it to my 10 year old. Not all parents have the same teaching methods or the same material that we are introducing to our children and the book being classified as 8-12 gave me a feeling of trust but I had to make sure anyways. The book speaks about body changes and immediately moves into “sexually active”. They lost me. Im speaking to my child about her body changing and if I didn't read the book now before she understand that I have to speak to her about sex?!.If your child understands sex and changes in their bodies, then this book is good to give additional information and body confidence.
