The unit was well packaged, very easy to use, not tried it out at 40degs yet but the 9000btc unit after 5mins was kicking out some very chilled air. Wouldn't say it would chill a room 27 x 13 ft but a standard double bedroom, after an hour I believe it would be much cooler. Took a chance on this unit but seems well made and will chill my sons bedroom this summer. P.S I will be buying a 2nd also. Oh as for noise, not bad at all no noise than a fan on medium to high.Just adding to my feedback, bought the 2nd and even without the window sheild it works really well. Cools my bedrooms really well. 30 dogs today and gets the room down to 22 dogs.

First thing is that this unit does cool your room.I have a 11x9ft garden office and it (7000 BTU unit) got the room to the target temperature within about 5 minutes (measure using a separate thermometer) so that side of it is good. The unit seems well built and looks as nice as anything like this can do.It is quite noisy. I dont know if it is any more or less noisy than comparable units but if you are using this in a room to work in, you may struggle on calls or listening to music etc.The hose itself is quite rigid and not very long or flexible. I've had to position the unit on a chair in order for the hose to reach out the window. Clearly this is less than ideal.The window kit is only compatible with windows that open by sliding vertically. Most casement UPVC style windows are not compatible, so you simply have to dangle the hose out the window (if you can get it to reach) which is not very efficient, looks untidy and fiddly.So for the price, it is what I expected in terms of build quality and noise. However, the hose and window kit let it down.

Being peri menopausal I didn’t want to do another summer without an air con unit. Our house is a “new build” and holds heat very well. Too well! It was becoming unbearable.This unit is able to cool down a room very quickly. It is extremely loud though and you wouldn’t be able to sleep with it on. We are unable to watch tv or have a conversation when it is cooling a room.The dehumidifier setting also works very well. I suffer from asthma and it is triggered by humidity. When I have run the unit I have no symptoms & the bowl is always full of water. So it definitely works.Good value for the price!

1st air conditioning was do I don't I , read reviews seemed good so decided to order this.Very impressed with how easy the set up was the air conditioning unit is heavy tho.It's made a big difference did have a air cooler on and 2 other fans , now all unplugged and using this air conditioning unit.Was between 4 or 5 stars due to it been heavy awarded 5 stars and strongly recommend.

AC works fine.. takes a little while but room is left pretty cool. The fan function could be better as does feel a bit warm.

Received this yesterday's put together, quite easy to set up. A neat little you unit, not noisy, remote control and belts out some cool air on fan mode put it on air con I'd have to wear my coat very powerful for such a compact unit recommend anyday

I bought this as was lead to believe it wouldn’t be too noisy. Trying it out for the first time over the last day and It’s so loud! Yes I have it on sleep mode, that quietened it a little but fan is on ‘low’ which is the sound level of a high on any other fans I have. It does cool and nice and compact, but it sounds like industrial machinery.

Very good at cooling the room. The hose needed to be fitted to a window seal but you can get from Amazon as well . Great quality
