How wide is this where it attaches to the vehicle and where it meets the ground?

At the top of the Backroads shelter where it attaches to the vehicle it is approximately 72 inches wide. At the bottom where the door is, the shelter is approximately 96 inches wide. The measurements can vary a little depending on the vehicle that the shelter is attached to or the attachment points.

Any floor attachment available?

There aren't any floor attachments for this design!

Can this be set up not attached to a vehicle, but as a freestanding structure? Maybe with canopy poles or trees to attach to?

It is designed to attach to vehicles.

Will this fit on a mb sprinter 2500 170 highroof?

I do not know specifically but it fits our Promaster based (3500) Winnebago Solis PX so if you find those dimensions on-line you can compare for yourself for your vehicle. I just have no knowledge with a MB build to be able to guide you.
