The saga of the adventures of Tintin is an excellent one for a student of Spanish, since this edition of the series is in Spanish. The text is clearly readable and the comic illustrations are of classic excellence. It is suitable for adults or adolescents, and is sufficiently interesting to get the attention of both, with the caveat that it covers a simplistic story line developed in the culture of the 1930's to 1970's, in the Cold War era. For some people it might ruffle feathers because of how it deals with race in a simplistic cartoon form, as drawn at that time, but it simply reproduces the drawings of the time. For me, it is perfect material for learning Spanish.
