Served its purpose. My fat butter fingers dropped a battery and busted the case. Bought this to fix it. Dewalt internals fit it perfect, it's fits all my tools great. Now I can get back to screwing

This is a great product if you need to fix a damaged cell or you just have a cracked case. Works perfectly.

I dropped my drill off a ladder and broke the 4ah battery casing. So I only needed the shell and spring from this kit. It was very easy to install. I deducted one star for the thin plastic material. You can see in the images the new case is lacking the support baffles that help to protect the battery when it's dropped. The battery also fits a little loose in the drill. It doesn't seem to affect it though. It's a good Value for the money. I'll just try to be more careful from now on!

When I notified the vendor that their unit would not charge in a dewalt charger they replied that they were sending a new replacement and don’t worry about that returning the defective unit.The replaced unit does the same thing. Their circuit board will not allow charging.I’m not upset with the return process, but with the fact that you have not reviewed the email string to verify that the original item need not be returned.Everyone should get on the same thread to verify.Ronald Perdue

Get your own Samsung batteries slap them in here and you have the exact same quality as DeWalt battery. Plenty videos on YouTube that show you step by step

Works good but not as robust as I would have liked. No issues as of yet but not sure it could withstand a drop.

First time trying doing it this way to save money and it worked great. Will buy more
