I started feeding my cat Apollo moon the dry turkey bag food first, about 6 months ago. I was skeptical. Lots of reviews that went both ways. I said let me give it a try. (it was on sale)So I went for it ! Apollo Moon loves it. He is 13.2 lbs. beautiful pure white Siberian. Triple coat he is long hair an he looks amazing after being on this food. I have tried many different foods for him an he just would gain weight an loose weight. His coat was not great etc. Now that he is on Optimeal he eats all his food an loves it. He has been the same weight for 6months.Most of all I feel good about the ingredients in this food. Good qualty product.I started him on the 3 oz packets. I bought it this week started with a table spoon to see if he liked it he licked the bowl clean. He never does that. So I’m now on the 3rd packet an no stomach issues no soft stool as of just perfectly satisfied cat! So I ordered another 24 packs of the chicken & turkey.I’ll check back in after a month an let you know if anything changes. Thanks Optimeal best cat food hands down. By the way Apollo Moon is turning 3 years old September 6Update: it’s been a year an he still loves this food. He’s actually lost a little bit of weight but that’s good I think it’s just he’s getting older no more kitten fat. Lol … try it the price is still high but so are every other thing now. It’s worth it it’s great food. Great quality!Update: 9/18/24 Apollo moon is still thriving on this food he loves it he’s lean . Just turned 4 years old. This is the only food brand he eats both dry & packets .

Pros:* They give pretty detailed breakdowns of the ingredients. That means they identify the specific organs used beyond just chicken/turkey meat (i.e., heart, lungs, and liver).* I like that they use specific organs that provide essential nutrients for our cats.Cons:* I actually think this is a pretty big con and that's the fact this isn't a pure "turkey/chicken" based diet. The organs they use are from pigs and cows so in case your cat(s) have issues with these proteins, you're out of luck.I feed my three cats using a "lottery system" whereby each meal I randomly choose three small cans of wet food from a big bin and mix them all together. I then divide the hodge podge mix into three portions and feed. The cans are from a bunch of different manufacturers and I also buy a range of different textures. This way every meal is different, they don't get hooked on any one texture or taste, and aren't stuck on a single brand. It also makes introducing a new food into their diet super easy since it'll always be mixed with food they're used to.Perhaps that's why my cats haven't had issues since they never just get fed a brand new food by itself. My advice to people who've had cats that have vomited this food is to heed the traditional advice to slowly introduce this food by mixing it with their usual food. While their cats may not have had problems with "slamming" them into a new food in the past, there's the chance there's an ingredient in this food (pork, beef, etc.) that they're not used to which is going to lead to tummy upsets.

Received item 2/23/25 -6 boxes that have the best buy date of 2/27/25. They are non returnable, so I wasted my money.Would gives zero stars if I could

This was a suggested product, so I gave it a try. I was perplexed by the packets. The image shows a typical packet with the logo, etc. This was a weird, silver packet. I then read more reviews and some seemed kind of frightening. I missed seeing those when I ordered. I have a few cats so I put a little in each bowl. Everyone seemed to like it. I guess it’s ok, but I don’t like when companies advertise something one way and it arrives looking different.

Our cat loves wet foods and she is also a bit picky with her food. We tried several brands and flavors before and there are some she likes and some she doesn’t want to touch. We came across this brand and wanted to let my cat try it as a healthy alternative. We chose the one that is close to what currently has and it turns out to be good. The cat food came with a nice package and inside of it, there are small pouches, which is each to feed and store. The food appears to be high quality and it has a soup base with small slices of meats. My cat immediately started eating it with on issues. She typically finished one pouch per day. Glad this turned out well and she enjoyed the new healthy, wet food.

My cats absolutely LOVED this! All three cats cleaned their plates, even the picky eater. The morsels seemed very soft and we're in a whitish gravy sauce. The gravy was locked up first and then each and every morsel was eaten. I also like the package size as it works much better than the larger cans. I will definitely be ordering the others flavors for them to try.

My cat loves these and they are so much easier than cans. Just rip off the top and squeeze the meaty bits and sauce they are in, into the bowl. 😁
