If you own one of the small G primes, this is essential to finish off the look and to keep stray light out.Having recently bought the 50mm 2.5 G, I wasn't completely happy with the included Sony hood and this Haoge lens hood just completes the look. It fits perfectly, easy on/off and you can fit it upside down so no branding is visible, same with the cap. They're both metal and feel nice to the touch. Great quality, better than I expected. Although I feel the price is a little much for what it is, the fact it completes the look of the small primes without adding too much length makes it worthwhile and I can overlook the price.

Quality product, fits my Sony 2.5 40mm FE perfectly whilst allowing a 49mm filter at the same time. Would buy again any day of the week.

I had a very bad experience of trying to buy a Sony 40mm f2.5 lens and this Haoge lens hood from Amazon Germany, only to receive 6 rolls of cellotape; I'm still waiting for my refund! I ended up buying the lens directly from a camera shop in London and I purchase this hood from Amazon UK. All I can say is WOW! I understand why it is the price I paid. The quality is outstanding and makes the camera look gorgeous. I cannot wait to go out and do some street photography. Also, I have screwed in a 49mm K&F 1/4 NANO K black mist filter to the lens and the hood still fits perfectly. Thank you Amazon UK and Eosklz.

Really excellent and high quality if a bit on the expensive side. I delayed purchasing for a long time because of the price and then I saw a youtuber with it and thought why not. It works well will the Sony 40mm on my A7C ii.

The product is very good, is made of metal and a very good finish. I also saw some reviews saying about vignetting on the sony 24mm f2.8. I runned some tests today and there was a vignette when the image is not corrected, but as soon as lightroom correct the vignette is gone, also for videos that won’t be any because sony do in camera correction because their 24mm needs correction to do a good photo

I'm really pleased with the overall quality of this lens hood.I use it on the Sony 50mm f2.5 G lens & it functions perfectly. It also improves the overall aesthetics of the lens.

I have purchased 3 other Haoge items and all have been well produced and an exceptional fit. This hood and cap is again excellent. Looks like the Leica Q2 hood set up but for the Sony Compact Primes.

This is a very well made hood, which works flawlessly on the 40mm and 50mm lenses but causes just a smidge of mechanical vignetting in the far corners of the image on the 24mm lens.
