Low quality clamp does not work well, at all
First off, the clamp has four holes in the bottoms that are intended to screw onto the mount, but they are not threaded. So, with careful diligence you can force screw the clamp down. Of course, it becomes easy to strip or crossthread the hole, so the clamp doesn't stay on right. It is impossible to screw it down tight enough where it will not move. The biggest complaint is how everything is plastic and loosens up so easily. I've found it impossible to hold a reflector anywhere but from the top, hanging straight down. Any attempt to hold a reflector out to the side causes the clamp to point down. For me, that's useless. I rarely need a reflector to just point up and down, with no angle.Highly recommend avoiding this clamp and getting one that is more heavy duty.

Cannot use the clamp as designed without a visit to the Hardware store
Clamp will not mount as shown. The design assumes that the clamp body metal thickness will fit into the threads of the screw adapter. They do not. You cannot mount the clamp as shown in the picture or described in the description. Therefore, you’ll need to drill out the holes in the clamp, then get yourself a nut and washer to accept the threaded screw adapter through the body of the clamp. Then, keep track of these tiny pieces. Manufacturer almost got it right. Close but no cigar.

Don't waste your money.
I was hoping this would be a quick tool for holding anything up. A flag (light blocker). A reflector. Anything. Someone in this thread said they couldn't attach it to a light stand. It connects just fine if you take out the adapter IN the clamp it goes on a light stand perfectly as any other tool made for going on a stand. Someone said it was too hard to open the clamp but you want the spring to be strong enough that your stuff doesn't just fall off. Others said they couldn't get the clamp onto the the bolt coming out of the mount. This is true as the four holes are NOT threaded and indeed, in a fairly thin metal. I've had this thing 15 minutes and can see this can lead to stripping the holes. The hot shoe mount is a bit sketchy. First, I can't seem to adjust it to make it perfectly straight. OK, speed flashes do swivel but I'm unsure if this could be a problem. Now, the biggest issue to me, is the overall build of the gizmo. The whole thing is VERY cheap. The adapter inside the fitting for the light stand has NO heft. The entire thing is plastic except the thin, metal clamp. I don't know if I would trust the hot shoe to hold a $600.00 speed flash. I wouldn't trust any of this to last more than a couple of uses, even by me, as I am VERY careful with my things. Spend a little bit more money, OK, maybe a LOT more money, and get Manfrotto or some other well established brand. You'll pay more ONCE and it will last forever rather than buy something half the price and replace it several times. I won't send it back but I've learned my lesson. I also bought the large Selens 5-in-1 48x72 Inch Oval Reflector with Handle. I'm guessing Selens will never be in my studio again because neither are built too well.Avoid Selens.

Works pretty good
At first I was not sure how the clamp would go on since it didn’t come with instructions, however, I just started turning it on the screen part and it threaded just fine.. it’s strong enough hold my large thick Kate back drop. Not sure what everyone else is complaining about, but it’s perfect and works well.

A Very Clever Clamp
I've been wanting a clamp that could hold a reflector for me (as I'm often doing a solo gig) and have been looking for something like this for a few years now. This thing is great. My only complaint is that it was tricky to screw the mount onto the handle of the clamp. But once I figured out what to do, and got it on, it's very solid and stable. The clamp is secure, yet easy to open. It doesn't squeeze too hard, so my reflector shows no wear at all. The clamp can accommodate angles, which is also great. Easy to adapt to any stand and situation.Totally pleased. A bargin.

Good value and built well.
It took me a minute to figure out how to assemble the clip, but once that was done, everyone worked as expected. This is a versatile tool and looks like it will hold up well. Happy with purchase.

Cheap, but does the job.
It works, but it's very cheaply made. The clip doesn't screw into the base easily. The metal is very thin. So, once you screw it in, I suggest not taking it back out.
