Q: Does this need a “seasoning” - have read about that for some SS pans and wondered if this was needed for this pan?

I did not season the pan. I don't recall if it said I should. The only thing you should do is pre-heat the pan before adding the ingredients. This reduces the possibility of food sticking.

Q: how tall are the sides?

I had to measure, but the sides are 2 inches tall

Q: What is the wall thickness of the pan?

Not sure of the actual thickness.
